Meet Millie! 🐾 Millie is a sweet senior Yorkie mix with a happy, affectionate personality. She loves snuggling, especially when wrapped in a cozy blanket, and enjoys following you around the house before settling quietly in her crate or dog bed. Millie thrives in calm environments and gets along well with relaxed dogs who give her space. Her vision seems a little reduced, so she may run into things occasionally—extra care around stairs is important. Millie is a picky eater and only eats wet food, but when she finds one she likes, she’s a great little eater. She isn’t interested in toys but loves attention and cuddles. She’s house trained and will go potty immediately when carried outside. Millie enjoys calming music in her crate and tends to be wary of loud noises, squeaky toys, and young children, and she would probably ignore cats. Despite her sensitivities, she is incredibly friendly and will happily soak up affection from her people. The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs if you already have a dog. Please contact Jamie (jamie@pawsandprayers.org) for more information about this pet.  Elsie is a sweet, spunky 1-year-old Yorkie mix weighing just 7 pounds — small in size but full of personality. She was pulled from a local pound and is now ready to find a loving home of her own. Elsie is a vocal little lady who may not be  well-suited for apartment living, but she more than makes up for it with her affectionate nature. She loves being held and will happily soak up all the cuddles you’re willing to give. She’s friendly with other dogs and enjoys canine companionship. She is not fully potty trained yet but does use puppy pads and will need a patient adopter willing to continue her training and help her succeed. Her experience with kids and cats is currently unknown. If you’re looking for a loving lap dog with a big heart, a strong voice, and lots of potential, Elsie could be your perfect match. She’s ready to trade her rough start for a forever home filled with love. Adoption fee: $400 All Paws and Prayers animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (age appropriate) and are given monthly flea/heartworm prevention.  Adoption fees also include the pet's spay/neuter and microchipping.  The first step in the adoption process is to complete a no-obligation adoption application at www.pawsandprayers.org.     December 27, 2025, 8:14 pm
