Story
Addie is 6.8lb, half Yorkie/half Cairn Terrier, adopted at 6wk old and belonged to my teen daughter. My daughter treated her like her baby. Addie was attached to her. When Addie was almost 2 my daughter was in an accident, rendering her casted up and immobile for several months. Addie then became “my” dog. In trying to recover and come to grips with the permanent changes in her body, my teen just never returned to her interest in Addie. I care for Addie and think she’s the cutest thing, but when considering she could have 10+ more years of life left, I just don’t know that I’m up for continuing to care for her. She is lively. It is rewarding to play fetch with her and I can even walk her off leash and she stays at my heel. She does bark a lot but it’s mostly to get attention. We have cats that she plays with and an old dog she drives nuts. Hoping to find someone who might want to make her their priority and it can be on a trial basis if you’d like to make sure it’s a fit.

Story
Buddy is a 7-year-old, moderately active Yorkshire Terrier. He loves the attention of his owner and demands human interaction to cuddle. Buddy is good with children and guests that come to visit. Most days, he is relaxing next to one of us, not wanting to leave our presence, or you can find him relaxing in his bed. When it's time to play, he doesn't shy away from it. My wife and I's work schedule is causing Buddy to miss out on the love he needs and desires from his owner as he sits at home most days for 8 plus hours or more depending on our work schedule. Our kids are all grown and have moved from home as well. I would like for Buddy to be with an owner who has the time and energy to support his cuddling and playful needs consistently. He is a very curious pet and likes to take walks. Finding an owner or family that could take him in would be an honor.

Story
I bought him from a breeder 14 years ago when he was 6 weeks old. He is 14 years old. He is older now and moves slowly, but he still tries to play and run it lasts for about 5 to 10 minutes throughout the day or when he is in the mood. He is delightful and loving but sleeps a lot and I want him to go to a good, loving home that will care for him as he ages. I call him a little old man because he doesn't want to be bothered much, sleep, and play when he feels like it is how he maneuvers. He does have joint issues which happens in small breeds. He is potty trained and has been his whole life but for the last 6 months (since my grandson with autism came to stay with us) he has had accidents in his area. His vision is not what it used to be due to his age (14), he will be 15 in June. He weighs 5.4 pounds, so he is small and doesn't require a lot of space or food. His shots are up to date and Shadow Creek Vet Veterinary Clinic is his vet, I have his current records available.

Story
Introducing Harvey, the pint-sized pup with a giant heart (and bark!) Warning: This bio may contain excessive levels of cuteness and goofiness. Hey there, potential furever fam! Meet Harvey, a tail-wagging ball of energy trapped in a (relatively) small dog body. Don't let his size fool you, though. His spirit animal is a Great Dane, and he has the loyalty and love to match! Here's what you can expect with Harvey in your life: The ultimate shadow: He may not be able to carry your groceries, but he can become your personal shadow, following you from room to room and offering moral support (and maybe some enthusiastic head nudges for pets). A cuddle monster: Don't be fooled by his feisty side. He also loves to snuggle up on the couch and be showered with affection. Ear scratches are his ultimate weakness – just one scratch and he will turn to mush in your hands! A certified goofball: His playful personality will have you laughing every day. Think of him as your personal clown (with a wagging tail instead of a red nose). A lover, not a loner: While he is independent, he doesn't do as well left alone for long periods. Apartments might not be his jam (thanks to his impressive vocal range), but a house with a yard where he can unleash his powerful voice would be best. Please reach out to info@joyrides.org if you'd like to learn more about adopting Harvey! Harvey is being fostered in Houston, TX and is available locally, within driving distance or out of state. He would come to his new home via professional transport. Age: 10 yrs Weight: 13 lbs Dogs? possibly! depends on the dog so he is happy to chat about it! Cats? no thanks! Kids? unknown Ok for apartment life? probably not
