Story
Alexis is a sweet, beautiful 6-year-old cat looking for her forever home! This lovely stripey gal is slow to open up but once she's comfortable, she is so very sweet. She loves getting head scratches and receiving pets. She's also quite chatty and always has something to say when humans are around! When she's in a playful mood, she loves "hunting" her wand toys and will even drag them out to me when she declares its playtime! Alexis is a curious cat, and likes to monitor what's going on in the house by walking the perimeter in between naps or sitting in her window hammock, watching the world go by. She's a little sensitive to sudden or loud sounds and movements; she will run back to her safe place if something loud or too fast happens around her, but then comes right back out after a few minutes.A medium-energy lady, she has her moments of being playful and curious but for the most part she wants to sleep or be near a human and chill together while you work, read, or watch your favorite shows. Alexis currently lives as the solo animal with one human. A slow, quiet home will be ideal for Alexis. She will really bloom with compassionate, patient people who understand that it will take time for her to adjust to a new home and human(s). Because she seems sensitive to fast movement and sounds, she will definitely do best in a calm home that doesn't have a ton going on all the time. She did previously live with another cat and was apparently fairly unbothered. She hasn’t met any dogs or children yet, but older, gentle tweens/teens would probably be fine.If you live a fairly quiet life, and are eager to help a sweet, gentle best friend gain the trust and confidence she needs to thrive, then maybe this is the perfect time to be “a little bit Alexis”! There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown.
