Story
Hello! My name is KORSAN and here is a little info about me:Breed: Pointer / Akbash mixAge: 3 yearsGender: MaleWeight: 30 kgCountry of origin: TurkeyHighlights: affectionate, gentle, social, calm, loving Hope you are up for a sweet and calm boy who loves belly rubs, cuddles, and being near people I trust.I grew up in a children’s park with my two siblings, happily spending my days surrounded by families and kids. I loved the attention and affection I received from people, always ready to show my belly for pets. When a collection law was enforced, I was taken to a shelter, where I faced some rough experiences with other dogs. Thanksfully, after two months, I had rescuers mov me to a boarding facility. Here I patiently wait for the loving forever home I’ve been dreaming of.You'll find me affectionate, calm and gentle. On top of that, I have shown myself to be quite the social and loving gentleman. I form strong bonds quickly and enjoy both playtime and quiet moments with people. I'd be happiest in a home where I can feel safe, loved, and included in family life. I get along with other dog and it has been said I have safely lived with kitties before too.My ideal home will have indoor comfort, plus a yard to explore (though this isn't required, as long as we get plenty of outdoor time too.) I’d do best with a family who can continue my socialization and enjoy spending quality time with me. Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: YesCats: unknown (rescuer states yes, but no vids)Kids: unknown (rescuer states yes, but no video) Fears: None observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:Leash skills: Yes. Please be prepared to train meHouse trained: no. Please help me learn! Health notes: 4DX tests negativeI have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2678851##

Hi there. My name is BENEKLI and here is a bit about me:Breed: Pointer mixAge: 3.5 yrsGender: FemaleWeight: 30 kgCountry of origin: TurkeyHighlights: Friendly, Gentle, Loving, Social, Playful Friendly and ready to giv'er in Canada. That is my new motto. Let's have a blast, okay?Times of my life were marked by living in a children's park together with a few other dogs. I  spent time with children and families in the park and loved being around people. After the animal collection law came into effect, I was taken to a shelter. It isn't known how I lost it, but I only have one eye. I could not protect myself and had difficulty eating among the other dogs. I stayed in the shelter for two months and amazingly survived. Now I am living in a dog boarding facility in a cage (yes, you heard that right) and would really like to spread my wings to freedom. In the area where I used to live, there were cats and I had no problems with them. I am fine with other dogs, of course. Not to worry, not having one eye doesn't slow me down at all. I can still romp and play just like everyone else.My ideal home would be one that has a yard, but not a requirement if we can get out for fun times. If my new home allows for yard access, even better. You'll find me to be a bit of a socialite. I enjoy whooping it up with friends. Hard to believe I am a senior, eh? I am gentle & loving though and would enjoy a bit of quiet snuggling moments too.I'd love to spend my golden years in your arms as a Canadian puptizen. Are you ready for me? Hello there! I’m Ether, and here’s a little peek into who I am  Breed: Great Pyrenees/Border Collie mixAge: 6 yrsGender: MaleWeight: 31 kgCountry of Origin: LebanonHighlight(s): Affectionate, obedient, playful, sweet, lovable Hi there! I’m Ether — a gentle soul with a big heart who loves deeply and stays loyal forever. I may look big, but inside I’m still just a puppy waiting to be loved back. One summer day, I was so happy. I was riding in the car with my family, full of excitement, thinking we were going on a fun adventure together. My tail was wagging, and my heart was full. But my happiness didn’t last. I was taken out of the car and left on the side of the road — alone. I truly thought they were playing a game with me, that they would come back any second. So I waited... People tried to call me, to make me move, but I refused. I couldn’t leave. My family was supposed to come back for me. When they returned hours later, I was still there. This time, I knew. I saw it in my own eyes — the hope was gone. They weren’t coming back. Since that day, I’ve been given shelter, food, and safety. I’m no longer sitting on the road waiting, but what I truly need is a family — one that will never leave me behind again. I am affectionate, sweet, playful, and very obedient. I bond deeply with my people and love being close. Despite what I’ve been through, I still trust, still love, and still believe in kindness. I would thrive in a home that can offer love, patience, and companionship. I don’t just want a place to live — I want a family to belong to. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG.Please do NOT submit an application through LALDR. Please contact Laura at lauramcgrath93@outlook.com for more information or to adopt. Hi everyone, I am the laid back, sweet, companionable, loyal Elsa (Ellie) and here's some information about me:Age: 5 yrs 7 monthsBreed: Pyrenees x Border CollieWeight: 24-26  lbsHeight: 17 inchesGender: Female Hi, I'm Elsa, Ellie to my pals.Just a laid-back girl looking for a calm home and a human of my very own. I love being close to my person, keeping you company, and being part of your day. My favourite things are long walks, beach trips, a quick burst of zoomies, and then spending most of the day snoozing on the couch or bed. A quiet routine where I can relax and feel safe will be perfect for me. I’ve got quite the toy collection and I’m very proud of it. Beef liver is my favourite treat  for getting my attention and inspiring me to do a few tricks. I do best when life is calm and predictable. Unfamiliar noises and unpredictable things happening outside can get me a bit worried, so I like to keep my circle small and my environment peaceful. When I hear people coming and going in the building, I will voice my concern, so I need a person who can gently guide me and reassure me that all is well.I am crate trained,  leash trained and house-trained. No concerns about being left alone for a few hours once I’ve settled into my routine. While I enjoy walks and love getting outside to explore, I’m not an all-day high-energy dog. I prefer a nice balance of activity and rest, with plenty of downtime afterwards. I’ll happily engage with training when I’m in the mood, especially if there’s something extra tempting involved but  I can be a bit particular with meals. My person has learned a few tricks (like a sprinkle of crushed beef liver) to help entice me. I get along with:Dogs: NoCats: Not sureKids: No My perfect place would be an adult-only home with someone who understands dogs like me and enjoys a close bond with their companion. I would prefer to be the only pet in the home so I can relax without feeling overwhelmed or like I need to share attention. I bond strongly with my person and really enjoy having that one-on-one connection. I am not comfortable living with other dogs. Outside the home, I can be social in my own way, sniffing other dogs and sometimes choosing to play, especially with smaller dogs. Bigger dogs can make me a bit nervous, so I prefer calmer, smaller pals when I do interact. A quieter home environment suits me best, somewhere I can relax without too much hustle and bustle. In the right setting, I’m a loyal, affectionate companion who loves being near you and settling into a peaceful life together. I am fully house trained, spayed, microchipped, my shots are up to date. Additionally, I am a healthy girl with a good body condition and no known medical concerns. My person has helped me maintain a stable weight and I have not required any ongoing vet treatment in the past. An adoption fee of $100 applies. THIS IS A COURTESY POST.
