✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 Meet Yeoreum💕 (her name means “Summer” in Korean) 1.) Health Condition * Spayed. * Microchipped and hearworm negative. 2.) Rescue Story * Yeoreum is one of the dogs that the Adogs team rescued from a dogslaughter farm in 2022. Spending a long time there, she was about to be put down, but Adogs was able to rescue her just in the nick of time. 3.) Basic Information * With People: Has a calm and timid personality and is slow to adapt to new environments. When strangers approach her, she tends to avoid them and leaves the area. Previously, she had to be cornered for touching to be possible, but has recently become more comfortable with pets. Still, she doesn’t stay still and tries to get away if strangers pick her up. She also runs away from familiar people, but she can be leashed and touched when cornered. You accepts treats if you drop it on the ground. * With Dogs: If a new dog approaches too closely or annoys her, she growls to express her displeasure. Prefers to nap indoors rather than play outside with other dogs. * With Cats: Shows no reaction to cats she encounters during walks and focuses on the person walking with her. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed yet since she lives communally with other dogs at our center. May need training in a home environment. * Potty Training: Unknown, since she lives communally at our center. * Walks: Runs away and avoids the leash, but once the leash is actually on, she follows her handler well on walks. * Car Sickness: Does not show any symptoms of motion sickness during short distances, like when going to the veterinary clinic. Unclear how she would do on long-distance trips. * Biting: When another dog suddenly approaches and gets too pushy, she growls to tell them to stop. * Dislikes: Gets surprised and runs away when people approach, but accepts pets nicely when you actually manage to touch her. * Likes: Although she has a strong appetite and enjoys food, she did not show any resource guarding or aggression when trying to take away her food. * As she has had extended kennel training, she is able to handle long periods of crating, such as if she goes on an airplane or on a long drive.

Story
Cloud | Male | 3 years old | Great Pyrenees Weight: Approx. 32kg Cloud is a stunning Great Pyrenees with a soft, fluffy double coat. True to his breed, also known as a Pyrenean Mountain Dog, Cloud has a gentle and cozy exterior with a strong and protective inner nature. He’s not just calm and friendly—his gentleness comes from a deep-rooted confidence, as he believes in protecting those around him. Cloud has a sweet, peaceful personality, but don’t let that fool you. Beneath his calm demeanor, he has a firm sense of responsibility and determination to protect his surroundings. Though he’s a bit shy, you’ll quickly sense his trust and strength. Cloud is a high-energy dog, so he would thrive in a home with a large yard. He loves being active, playing, and running around. Daily outdoor activity is essential to keep him happy and healthy. He’s playful and enjoys both eating and having fun, showcasing his cheerful and innocent side. Despite his past, where he was abandoned at a shelter, Cloud is quick to warm up to new people. While he hasn't had much basic training yet, Cloud is highly intelligent, and positive reinforcement, such as treats, helps him learn quickly. He may pull on the leash during walks out of curiosity, but he’s improving with practice and guidance. Cloud is also great with other dogs, including smaller ones. He’s big in size but still exhibits the endearing behaviors of a puppy, which make him even more lovable. Cloud would be best suited for someone who understands the Great Pyrenees breed or enjoys large dogs and is looking for a companion to enjoy daily outdoor activities with. If you're ready for a loyal, loving companion and are willing to provide training and structure, Cloud will be a lifelong friend, offering deep love and trust in return.

Story
Meet Buddy, a handsome 10-year-old Great Pyrenees cross who's as charming as he is fluffy! Buddy is a seasoned gentleman with a big heart and an even bigger appetite. The key to winning him over? Treats! For a cookie or two, Buddy will happily become your best friend even sticking his whole face in your pocket just to make sure you're not holding out on him. Buddy loves his walks and enjoys spending time with people who appreciate his playful, food-loving personality. At 10 years old, we have discounted his adoption fee, but he's still active enough to enjoy adventures but also knows how to relax and enjoy quieter moments. Training Needs Buddy has shown a mix of reactions around other dogs, sometimes friendly, sometimes indifferent, and occasionally not so keen. Because of this, his new adopter should be prepared to continue some gentle desensitization work to help him feel more comfortable around other dogs. He responds well to positive reinforcement and is very food-motivated, which makes training both fun and rewarding. Health Buddy has a touch of arthritis, which is currently managed with glucosamine supplements. Despite this, he remains a good walker and enjoys his daily outings. His blood work has been completed, and we'll be updating his file with the results soon. He's up to date on vaccinations, neutered, dewormed and microchipped. New Home Buddy is looking for a calm and caring home with no other dogs or possibly a very well-matched dog, and older children (14+) who will respect his space. We're unsure how he feels about cats, so any introductions should be made carefully if applicable. His ideal family will understand his needs, give him time to settle, and, of course, have a steady supply of tasty treats. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion with a big personality and an even bigger appetite, Buddy could be your perfect match! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ready to Apply? If you would like to meet Buddy, please download an application from our website at: vancouver.ca/adoption-form Then, email your complete application to: animal.shelter@vancouver.ca If your application is approved, we will contact you to arrange a meet and greet. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- All adult dogs at Animal Services have veterinary health checks, and are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and defleaed (if necessary) before going to their new homes. Children: Yes 14+ Cats: Unknown Dogs: Maybe but well matched only Training Needs: Canine Socialization Adoption Fee: $114 If you live in the City of Vancouver, you will also need to purchase a dog licence. Hello. My name is MEERKAT (Mochi) and below is some info about me:Breed: Anatolian Shepard mixAge: 2-1/2 yearsGender: FemaleWeight: 24 kgHeight: ~ 52 cmCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlights: playful, affectionate, loyal, friendly, toy lover Why meerkat you wonder? Well, not only do I kind of look like one, but I am really playful like one. In fact you could say I am toy obsessed.Sadly I was abandoned on the streets when I was just about two months old. Tragically, at some point early in my life, I was abused and one of my front legs was broken by a cruel individual. My rescuers helped arrange treatment for me, and I recovered well.I continued to live on the streets in their neighborhood for some time and they kept an eye on me whenever they could. Unfortunately, I was later hit by a car, resulting in a serious fracture in my left front leg at the joint. My rescuers once again stepped in and provided surgery and full treatment for me. Now that I am healing well, they are fully committed to ensuring that I never hav to return to the streets. Their goal is to find me a loving family in a safe country, where I can live the peaceful and joyful life every dog deserves.I am quite the friendly girl and absolutely a looker. Aren't I a beauty? I am also very affectionate. Eeeexcept with kitties. I find them a bit too exciting to cuddle. Other dogs are A-ok.Unfortunately, both front elbow joints are likely prone to future arthritis. A pin was inserted into my left elbow during surgery after the accident. At this time, there is no need for any further surgery, and it’s very likely that I will never need another procedure for this issue in the future. It might be good to put me on a supplement now though to avoid any premature arthritic conditions. If you are wanting a loyal pupper who is ready to take on the fun world of Canada, pick me. Health Notes:I had a surgical pin inserted in my left elbow.I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and will be microchipped before arrival. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $300. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2482262##

Yep, you read that right—I’ve been here 2/3 of my whole life, waiting for my forever home. I might be a bit on the chubby side (okay, maybe more than a bit!), but that just means there’s more of me to love!I’m the definition of mellow. I’m not extremely active—running around and chasing things isn’t really my style. I’d much rather find a cozy spot to nap or enjoy a nice snack.I love food—maybe a little too much—but who can blame me? Treats are the best!I’m super friendly and love people. I’ll happily hang out with you, whether you want to go for a leisurely walk or just relax together. And if you’re into cuddling, I’m your perfect match! Story
Hi there… I’m Tara. Here is some important info you need to know about me: Breed: Anatolian Shepherd mix Age: 2 years 7 months ( d.o.b : 5/23/2023) Gender: female Height: 48 cm Weight: 46 pounds Highlights: loving, independent, loyal, playful I didn’t have the easiest start. When I was just 8 weeks old, I was trying to survive all by myself in a place full of trash and heat. I was so hungry, I tried to eat rocks. I know that sounds awful — it was. You could see all the bones in my little body. Surprisingly, I’m not food, aggressive! Someone kind found me just in time and saved my life. I’ve been living in a kennel ever since — first in one of the hottest cities in the Middle East (it got up to 120°F!), and now in the capital. I’m safe, and I’m so grateful… but I’m also so ready to finally have a home of my own. Now… I am a bit of an escape artist . I’ve got energy and curiosity and sometimes I think the grass might really be greener on the other side of the fence. So, I’ll need a secure yard and someone who can keep an eye on me. A huge bonus though, is that you can leave me at home alone. I don’t mind at all! People have tried to get me to the U.S., but the airlines and CDC rules have made it hard. So now, I’m hoping Vancouver will be my fresh start — my chance to finally be someone’s dog, to feel grass under my paws, and love in my life. I’ve waited a long time. But I’ll keep waiting — if you’ll be the one to come for me. Energy level: moderate Get along with: other dogs, cats, and people and kids  Prey drive: none observed, however, my adopter needs to be willing to train me should these behaviors arise Fears: none observed, however, I will need patience to get used to my new environment. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a fight volunteer directly to Vancouver.
