Story
Good day. My name is Shamu (Chamuw) and here is a little info about me:Breed: Great PyreneesAge: 10 monthsGender: maleWeight: tbdHeight: tbdHighlight(s): happy, friendly, cuddler Looking for a fella who is happy and friendly and who loves every person and dog he meets? You found him.I was rescued from a neglectful situation where I was kept in a small room and rarely walked, I have come through that ordeal with flying colors. Despite this neglrctful start in life, I am wonderfully sweet. While I certainly enjoy going for walks, I don't require a lot of exercise. Heck, I'm content to cuddle up with my foster or play with my doggie friends. I love to give hugs and insist on giving you my paw. I want you to know I am here for a hug anytime you need it. I've not been around cats, so unsure about being with one.One fear I currently have, that just needs time and patience to overcome, is getting into a vehicle. But, even when I am scared, I will not react poorly or aggressively. They say I am truly a gentle giant. My foster says I will make a tremendously terrific family pet.I'd love a home that is moderately active, but also enjoys chillin' and snugglin' on the couch. I have a lot of learning to do, as I missed out on do much. Hoping you give me the opportunity to show you what a very special boy I am. Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknownKids: unknown Fears: Getting into vehicles. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: very little yet, a nit of leashLeash skills: some. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: tbd. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and will be microchipped upon adoption. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. ##1989890##

#ADOPTABLE <Bobby>💕💕💕 Vancouver BC Bobby is currently being fostered in Vancouver and is waiting for his forever home.PLEASE share the post to help this baby find his forever home. Thank you!! Here is his profile on our Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SNDogRescueAdoptionSociety Meet super lovely baby ~Bobby!!🥰🥰🥰 - 7 months old /30-31kg / 66-68lbs as of April 2024 - Great Pyrenees - Great with other dogs, adults, strangers - Sweet Companion - Chipped - Vaccinations are UTD and will be Neutered before go to new home. - Potty trained: Yes - Crate trained: Yes - Kid friendly: Yes - Cat friendly: Unknown - Energy level: Medium - Drive: Unknown at this time - Adoption fee: $500 Bobby's previous owner was an international student from China. Because of personal reasons, they had to return to China and left Bobby in Canada. Our volunteers did not want Bobby to have to get sent to the SPCA, so they took Bobby in. Sadly, Bobby was supposed to go to a foster home but he was attacked by his dog foster sibling, luckily the injuries were not serious and Bobby is now fully healed. Bobby is now at a different foster home. Bobby is a very playful but obedient puppy. He is almost 6 months old and around 27kg. We estimate that he will be around 50~55kg fully grown. He is a Great Pyrenees therefore, he is very intelligent and sweet .Bobby is very friendly to everyone and every dog.. We suggest that Bobby’s future adoptive family take him to dog training classes. Since Bobby is still a curious puppy, he likes to learn commands and needs obedience training. Training classes will bring a lot to the adoptive family and Bobby. The benefits also make Bobby a better companion dog. Additionally, Bobby is a large breed dog, meaning he will require lots of exercise and space. The ideal family for Bobby would have a backyard where Bobby can have space to relax. They should also ensure that Bobby gets enough exercise every day and is happy. Even though Bobby is only 5 months old, he has already learned some basic obedience, he is also doing well on leashed walks. He still likes to pull sometimes, so proper training is of the utmost importance as Bobby keeps growing. Bobby loves people and has the bad habit of jumping on people when he is excited, but we believe with some effort put in by Bobby's future owners, he will quickly learn how to be a perfectly well behaved dog. Bobby is not yet neutered, but once he has found his adoptive family, we will schedule to have this done before he moves to his new home. If you love big dogs and can put in the time and effort it takes to raise a well-behaved big dog, Bobby will definitely be a ray of sunshine in your daily life. We are looking forward to receiving your application forms. Our volunteers will get in touch with you ASAP to schedule a meet and greet with Bobby. @@Application form@@ https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1UAHI2AjBnc8jrXvEgezFAmCmMQkpDkxTA7s0UStYjcM/viewform?edit_requested=true&fbclid=IwAR3qonx8cHfegS0ktGQ6Cxr_Vu2Rfa1VUMGlApS7SMedGNkZ_jzY_Xalg_I ♡♡More pictures of Bobby♡♡ https://www.facebook.com/100070471832185/posts/449087950783596/

We are having a big adoption event this Saturday, April 27th with 50% off adoptions and will be closed this Friday, April 26th to get the shelter ready. Online applications will not be considered during this weekend event (April 27th and 28th). Priority will be given to people coming in during visiting hours. My name is Nika and I am a four month old poodle and suspected Pyrenees mix as the humans say I have really big paws for my age. New things and people make me a bit nervous but I warm up quickly, especially if you're giving me hot dogs!I get very excited when there are other animals in the home, especially dogs, so most of them find me very annoying and I would do well as the only princess in the home. Maybe with another super confident king or queen. I love going for walks so that will be very important for us to to if you decide to take me home. I'm still little and learning but if you have patience with my, I am sure we can work it out. I will probably need to train you a little bit too! Please come into the shelter during visiting hours if you would like to meet me. You can also submit an application online if I am currently in foster or if you would like to save some time when you come visit. While we do welcome online applications, in person meets have top priority.dogs:https://spca.bc.ca/survey/dog-adoption-application-vancouver/Our visiting hours are:Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 12-4:30 (closed Friday, April 26th)Thursday, Public Holidays: closedSaturday, Sunday: 12-4 Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 16.4 Age: 0yrs 4mths 3wks

Story
Introducing our lovable furry friend! This charming pup is a people-person through and through—ready to soak up all the pets and attention from anyone, including strangers! However, when it comes to little ones, sudden movements and loud noises can startle him a bit. If children are calm and gentle, he's happy to hang out. Although he's not a fan of being carried or lifted up, he's a big fan of canine companions, especially smaller or similar-sized dogs. He's a true protector, but only when needed—stepping up if other dogs are too rowdy or aggressive. Birds? Squirrels? They definitely catch his eye during walks, but with a bit of leash training, he's working on his focus. In terms of energy, he's got the perfect balance—loving outdoor adventures but a total zen master indoors. While he might tug a little on walks, once he settles, he's an excellent leash follower. Busy streets can be overwhelming, so quieter spots are more his style. No guarding resources from people, but he might issue a gentle growl if other dogs get too close. When it's time to travel, he prefers a cozy crate in the car—helping ease those nerves and avoiding any car sickness. One thing's for sure—he's a potty pro outdoors only! Basic commands like sit, stay, paw, and eye contact? Nailed it! And did we mention he's a sucker for ice cubes? If you're ready to welcome this gentle giant into your heart and home, reach out to our team today to make him a part of your family! Meet Ben! A young dog with an old soul. Ben is a 1 year old big, fluffy, goofy boy who we think is a great pyranees mix. But with rescue its always a mystery! Ben currently weighs around 70 pounds but he's really a gentle giant. What Ben loves more than anything is being outside in nature, no matter the weather! So he will need a home with a fenced back yard where he can go out as he pleases. But when he's back in the house, he's a perfect gentleman who is quiet in his crate and perfectly housetrained. He will be happy to lounge around at your feet. His next favorite thing is food! Ben will do cute tricks for food, like sit, speak, and shake! It will be a great way to bond with him! Teaching him new things will be a cinch with a few good treats. If you're looking for a pup that doesn't need constant attention, Ben is your guy! As long as you have a backyard for him to hang out in, he will be perfectly content. He does pretty well on leash but doesn't really need walks to be happy. He can even entertain himself if you give him some toys to toss around! Ben is great with all people, loves kids and other dogs big and small, but no kitties for this regal boy. In summary, Ben is a sweet gentle giant who would thrive in a home with another canine pal or two, a nice back yard to frolic and spend his days, and a family to love him for who he is. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport. Hi everybody, great to emeet you! I am Amica, and here's a bit about me:Breed: Anatolian shepherdAge: 6 monthsGender: femaleWeight: 18 poundsHeight: 50 cm Aren’t, I just delicious??Rescued when I was only a handful of days old:, you will not believe this story. My rescuer heard crying puppy noises near a lake outside of a major city in the Middle East. When she got closer, she noticed me in the shallow part of the lake. She wasn’t sure what to do so she called a younger boy, who was nearby to come and help save me. She wrapped me up in a bundle, and took me home and cared for me. I was crying because I was clearly separated from my mom and was hungry and wanted milk. She prepared a bottle of milk for me and nursed me back to health.https://youtube.com/shorts/w_mMimKP2Dg?si=-8Q3455GuUOwyF3Q.I have been staying with her ever since. I am very playful and I absolutely love playing with my ball toys. I have heard there is no toy shortage in Canada! Being a playful puppy, that will be heaven.I get along well with everyone, woofers, peeps, meowies, grandmas, the whole sha-bang. I don’t have much to be afraid of, but when my foster mama shows me her extended finger, that’s when I know I have done something wrong and I don’t like that! So, I'll try to be really good. I walk quite well on leash (I’ve had a lot of practice.) I also I do my business on a pee pad.My foster mom and I are having a blast together, but her landlord has been getting complaints from the neighbors and I’m going to have to leave her soon. I will miss her because after all, she is my savior, but I’m also excited about the future prospects I have in Canada.I can’t wait to meet you so you can make my dreams of being a Canadian come true! Story
Hello everyone, I'm Angelina and here is a bit about me:Breed: Anatolian shepherdAge: 7 monthsGender: femaleWeight: 60 poundsHeight: 40 cmHighlights: playful, loves kids, young & learning Adding Jolie at the end would be appropriate, because I am super pretty. That wouldn’t make me very one of a kind though now, would it? Aren't I adorable, I resemble a Swiss Valais sheep. So this is my story. A wonderful lady found my brother and I taped up in a cardboard box outside of a pet clinic. She is thinking either our mom passed away or someone separated us from her. Nobody knows. Thankfully, she was walking her own dog, a beautiful Samoyed, when he started barking and leading her towards our box. She opened the box and found us packed in there. We were both very scared, but also very grateful to be found. She took us home and has been taking care of us ever since. We have been bottle-fed from the first day that we were found. It's been a couple of months that we have been able to eat solid food along with our milk. I am really looking forward to becoming a Canadian citizen soon and being the sweet little girl I am in a loving family.I am extremely playful, but I'm also a lady. I do like to play though, but I'm definitely the calmer sibling, though I do harass my bro over food a tad. Pretty much like human brothers and sisters. It would be great if we found a home together. Our fee would be reduced, if so.I get along very well with other dogs and with kids. I absolutely love children, because they like to play with me and I’m just a baby, so I love to play. I especially love playing with balls. I am currently staying in a boarding facility, so I am being socialized with other dogs as well as more people.I am really looking forward to a new family that will be able to keep me forever. I am hoping that you will be the one to make our dreams come true. Love, Angie. Story
Hello everyone! My name is Brad, and here is some info about me:Breed: Anatolian Shepherd mixAge: 7 monthsGender: maleWeight: 62 poundsHeight: tbdHighlights: playful, food motivated, dog interactive I was found in the Middle East by a very sweet lady and her Samoyed dog outside of a vet clinic. I was taped up in a box along with my sister. Thankfully, her dog was able to sniff us out and lead her to us. We were both crying, and were extremely scared. Clearly someone had separated us from our mom. The lady was thankfully able to take us back home and nurse us back to health. We were slowly introduced to solid food after a few weeks and we love it! Especially me! My sister is more of a lady. I honestly think deep down she loves the food as much as I do, but doesn’t like to show it.I am extremely playful and love playing with my ball. I sometimes like to play with my big brother (the Samoyed) but he’s usually not in the mood to play with me and like I said, my sister can be a little stuck up. Even so, it would be great if we were adopted together. Our fee would be reduced, if so.I am scared of busy streets and cars. Can't blame me there, the cars zipping around are dangerous. With time and training that should improve though. I do know how to use a pee pad and have had a teeny bit of work on leash. I'm quite young, so will need full training yet.I love other dogs as you can see, I've had a lot of practice with my sister. https://youtube.com/shorts/v9KNuegdA5w?si=ReUELjDitm2dbXLp Love to have an opportunity to come to Canada! If you adopt me, I promise to be the dreamy Brad Pitt in your life! Energy level: Moderate-highI get along with:Other dogs: yesCats: unknownKids: yes, await vids Prey drive: unknown/not observed. My adopter needs to be willing to train me should these behaviors arise.Fears: busy streets/cars. Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Training: very littleLeash training: a bit. Please be prepared to train me.House trained: partially, pee pad. Please help me learn where to go in my new home. Health notes:I am too young yet to be spayed/neutered, but I am vaccinated and microchipped. Spay/neuter will be the responsibility of the adopter and is required for my adoption to be finalized. My adoption fee is 800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes transportation to Canada, if accompanied by a fight volunteer directly to Vancouver. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs.
