Story
Pierrot is a 2–4 year old, 135 lb Great Pyrenees/Akbash mix looking for a single pet home. We got him out of the shelter Jan. 2025 after he was found as a stray. He is affectionate, goofy, and loves people, especially kids (though his size requires supervision). He enjoys long walks, sniffing adventures, restaurants, meeting new people, and has excellent leash manners other than being a mega sniffer. He knows basic obedience, is house-trained, crate-trained, neutered, vaccinated, and healthy.Unfortunately we have learned he doesn’t want to live in an apartment with a bunch of other animals, and while he remains friendly with other dogs at doggy daycare, he’d prefer not to have other animal housemates. His ideal home has a secure 6-ft fenced yard, a couple of sniff walks daily, and someone looking for a loyal, loving giant companion. Located in the SF Bay Area; willing to travel for the right home.

Gracie walks beautifully on a leash, making her a wonderful companion for daily strolls or relaxed outings. She has a fun, playful side too—when she knows it’s time to play, she’ll burst into the cutest zoomies that are guaranteed to make you smile. At her core, Gracie is simply a gentle, loving soul who wants to share her life with someone special. She’s sweet, affectionate, and full of joy, always ready to both give and receive love. He can be a bit selective about his dog friends, especially when he’s unsure—but with space, structure, and clear handling, he settles nicely.He’s not chaotic or over-the-top—just a thoughtful dog who appreciates slow introductions and clear communication.
