Story
Cappuccino is one of the best men around. He is our fur grandbaby. Our 25 year old son was tragically killed in a car accident on thanksgiving night of 2024. We took in Cap and his two cat siblings. It’s become very clear to us that this guy needs more than we are able to give him. He needs attention as we work a lot and he needs a big yard, which we sadly don’t have, and most importantly, he needs a job. Otherwise, we’d be happy to keep the guy. He is a little clumsy when it comes to space as he has always lived in small quarters but our son had a forest for a backyard in Mendocino. He’s not used to large crowds so he does get a little anxious. He’s been a country dog most of life. He will definitely alert you however I’ve never seen him protect as he’s never needed to.very sweet, likes to roughhouse but is also gentle and loving. He LOVES going for walks. He knows his basic commands. He loves chew toys and it’s going to be hard to let him go but we want to see him live his best life.

Story
Mya is a beautiful Great Pyrenees mix with a gentle, loving nature. She enjoys being around people and does well with both men and women. She absolutely thrives on human connection, but she does have a strong prey drive. Because of this, she’ll do best in a home without cats or livestock. If you have experience with larger dogs and are looking for a loyal, affectionate companion, Mya is your perfect match 🐾

Story
Mimi is a beautiful, soulful Great Pyrenees mix with a deeply loyal heart. She was adopted from Family Dog Rescue in 2025 and has been very loved by her family, who have worked incredibly hard to support her and understand what she needs to feel safe. Like many Great Pyrenees types, Mimi is sensitive, watchful, protective, and very bonded to the people she trusts. Once you are in her circle, she is affectionate, devoted, and full of quiet sweetness. She has a small group of familiar people she adores, and she will be happiest with adopters who appreciate a guardian-breed personality and understand that trust may take time. Mimi is looking for a calmer home outside of a busy city environment. Apartment living and constant urban noise have been stressful for her, and she would likely do best in a suburban or rural home with a quieter routine, fewer visitors, and space to decompress. She is not a “party house” dog or a dog who wants a revolving door of new people coming in and out. She needs a home that can give her structure, predictability, and thoughtful introductions. Mimi can be fearful and protective around unfamiliar people in the home, so she will need an experienced adopter who is comfortable managing introductions and advocating for her. She has also shown leash reactivity toward some dogs, so she will do best with someone who can continue positive, consistent training and set her up for success on walks. Because she is alert and tends to bark at night, a quiet home environment will be important for her. We know this is not the easiest adoption listing to write, but we also know there is a right home for Mimi. She is not a dog who will thrive in every environment, but in the right one — with patient, experienced people who understand sensitive guardian breeds — she has so much love to give. Mimi’s ideal home: • Suburban or rural, not a busy city apartment • Adult-only or very dog-savvy home • Low visitor traffic • Experienced with Great Pyrenees, livestock guardian breeds, or protective/fearful dogs • Willing to continue training and behavior support • Patient, calm, and committed to helping her feel safe • A secure yard would be a big plus Mimi is a special dog who needs a special home — one that sees past the challenges and understands the beautiful, loyal girl underneath. If you have the right environment for Mimi and believe you can give her the calm, steady life she needs, we would love to hear from you.
