Story
Meet Big Dawg Don’t let the name fool you—Big Dawg is more “big-hearted” than big-bodied. At around 3–4 years old and about 66 pounds, this Shepherd–Pyrenees mix comes with oversized paws, extra toes, and a calm, steady presence.Big Dawg is a pretty chill guy overall, but he’s still working on his leash manners and will do best with a confident, stronger handler who can help guide him. He can be a bit selective about his dog friends, especially when he’s unsure—but with space, structure, and clear handling, he settles nicely. He’s not chaotic or over-the-top—just a thoughtful dog who appreciates slow introductions and clear communication. We’re still learning how he feels about cats.If you’re looking for a loyal, mellow companion who would thrive with consistency, patience, and someone comfortable providing guidance, Big Dawg could be a wonderful match. He’s ready to bring his big paws, soft eyes, and quiet charm into the right home.March 17, 2026, 5:37 pm
