**Local adopter only, please. This dog needs to complete heartworm treatment at our partner vet in Apex, NC.** Hi there! My name is Copper, and I'm a big boy with an even bigger heart. I may be 75 pounds, but my foster family will tell you I'm one of the gentlest, kindest pups you'll ever meet. I'm a laid-back guy who's happiest when I'm with my people, and I'm ready to find a family of my very own. Copper is a true gentle giant. He is calm, sweet, and easygoing, and he loves nothing more than hanging out with his family. You'll often find him curled up nearby for a cozy evening of TV, happy just to be part of the action. When it is time to play, he loves running around the backyard and enjoys playing with his toys. Despite his size, Copper is careful and kind with everyone he meets. He is  Housebroken  Crate trained  Knows "sit" and "paw"  Currently working on other basic commands and eager to keep learning Copper gets along well with both kids and other dogs, which makes him a wonderful fit for many families. He would be happy as the only dog in a loving home, or with a canine sibling who enjoys a good romp. A backyard where he can stretch his long legs would be a big plus, along with a family who loves movie nights on the couch as much as he does.

I’m Madison! I’m named after a beautiful mountain county in North Carolina, and while I may be the tiniest pup in my litter, I make up for it with a BIG personality! I’m spunky, outgoing, confident, and always ready for an adventure. My bigger sister doesn’t intimidate me one bit, and I’m never afraid to jump right into the action. I play hard, love life, and bring the party wherever I go. My motto? Go big or go home! Well, until I crash into a puppy nap. I’m also doing amazingly well with potty training for such a young pup! I’m still learning my leash skills and puppy manners, but I’m a smart girl who’s already making great progress. With a little patience, consistency, and practice, I’ll be showing off my skills in no time. I do well with kids, including my foster family’s 6-year-old, but I’m a little cautious around new dogs I don’t know. Sometimes I bark at them! I’m looking for a patient family who’s ready for puppy adventures, playtime, and helping me learn all the things a growing girl needs to know. My future is full of walks, new experiences, toys, naps, and LOTS of love. If you’re looking for a pup with a huge personality, endless enthusiasm, and a zest for life that’s bigger than I am, I might just be your girl!
