Butch is a 4-year-old 3/4 Akbash 1/4 Anatolian mix LGD, who has been protecting our sheep and goats. Big guy with gentle heart. We’ve had kids at the farm and he has been great with them. He would prefer to be rehomed to another farm or a home with a good amount of outside space, where he can run around.

Story
Storm spent the first part of his life surviving on the streets of East Austin. When I saw his skinny body on Facebook, I had never rescued a dog before, but I couldn’t leave him there. At first, Storm wouldn’t let me near him. Today, he sleeps on my bed and rolls over for belly rubs. He has bonded with my other dogs and welcomed pet sitters and family members into the house. Storm is about three years old and appears to be an Akbash or Akbash mix. Despite the breed’s livestock-guardian heritage, he is very much a house dog. With 24/7 access to a doggie door, he still spends 90% of his time indoors. I have no experience with him around cats or livestock. Storm needs an adopter who understands the independent LGD personality and can give him companionship, attention and good care. He also needs a vet checkup and updated vaccinations. I’m grateful I could give Storm a safe home when he needed one. At my age, I’m simply not the person to give him the life he deserves.

Bolt is a sweet and loyal companion, enjoys being in the yard when his foster mom gardens, and loves pets and attention. Bolt has a serious side, he barks when he perceives a threat (the UPS truck, mailman, etc) and a silly side, finding all sorts of random things to play with-he’d rather forage something around the house and cares less about dog toys. Bolt is super helpful around the house, he loves to help load the dishwasher, clean off the counters, and helps with the laundry by dragging clothes and towels from the laundry room outside in the rain, lol, he’s all about conservation! His new family should be sturdy as he can get spunky and want to play while doing zoomies around his people. He would love his own person/people to reciprocate his loyalty, someone who likes to relax and also find adventure. If you are looking for your “ride or die” dog, that’s Bolt, he is smart and eager to please. Bolt could get along with a female dog but would prefer to eat alone. Bolt is being fostered in Tacoma, WA and can be transported within WA and OR . All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Wonton Tony is the sweetest, goofiest five-month-old Pyr/Lab mix to ever trip over his paws and look great doing it. He has already mastered the most important skill: being velcro-ed to his people at all times. Wonton is incredibly food motivated, making him easy to train and redirect. He's fully house trained and has taken to leash walking like a champ. He’s obsessed with most toys, but tennis balls most of all.  Still very much in puppyhood, Wonton is teething and on a constant mission to find the best chew toy, so he'll need plenty of good options to keep  busy. And like most puppies, he’s either at full-speed or completely asleep (belly up). He's wonderful with cats and other dogs and is looking for a family who wants an affectionate, goofy buddy. He’s neutered and up-to-date on vaccines, so now he’s ready to find his home! Wonton Tony is currently being fostered in Portland, OR. OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION: 1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES THAT HAVE AT LEAST ONE MEDIUM TO LARGE YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOG that is age 1 or older. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor. 2) These puppies can be livestock dogs to farms and homesteads experienced in training LGDs. They also must be family pets that are allowed inside the home. 3) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone must also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8+ hours a day. 4) We give preference to applicants with prior Great Pyrenees knowledge/experience. 5) Secure and visible fencing required. 6) You must have a plan in place to socialize your puppy properly. Adoption Fee: $375 All of our puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on age appropriate vaccinations.  We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6. Transport Fee: $350 Transport fee includes the cost of transport plus the Health Certificate required for USDA approved transport.
