Story
Butch is a 4-year-old 3/4 Akbash 1/4 Anatolian mix LGD, who has been protecting our sheep and goats. Big guy with gentle heart. We’ve had kids at the farm and he has been great with them. He would prefer to be rehomed to another farm or a home with a good amount of outside space, where he can run around.

Story
Storm spent the first part of his life surviving on the streets of East Austin. When I saw his skinny body on Facebook, I had never rescued a dog before, but I couldn’t leave him there. At first, Storm wouldn’t let me near him. Today, he sleeps on my bed and rolls over for belly rubs. He has bonded with my other dogs and welcomed pet sitters and family members into the house. Storm is about three years old and appears to be an Akbash or Akbash mix. Despite the breed’s livestock-guardian heritage, he is very much a house dog. With 24/7 access to a doggie door, he still spends 90% of his time indoors. I have no experience with him around cats or livestock. Storm needs an adopter who understands the independent LGD personality and can give him companionship, attention and good care. He also needs a vet checkup and updated vaccinations. I’m grateful I could give Storm a safe home when he needed one. At my age, I’m simply not the person to give him the life he deserves.

Story
Meet Koda – A Gentle Giant with a Playful Side Koda is a handsome 2.5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix weighing about 50 pounds, and he is the perfect combination of calm companion and playful best friend. With his gentle nature and easygoing personality, Koda brings a peaceful presence wherever he goes. One of Koda’s favorite activities is spending time with his people. He loves to snuggle, relax nearby, and simply be part of the family. He is fully potty trained, settles nicely into home life, and has wonderful house manners. Koda also walks beautifully on a leash, naturally matching your pace and making daily walks enjoyable and stress-free. While Koda enjoys quiet time, he also has a fun-loving side. He absolutely loves to play and would be thrilled to have another friendly dog in the home to wrestle, romp, and share adventures with. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys having a canine companion to help bring out his playful spirit. Koda has also lived successfully with cats and has even been caught playing with their toys, proving just how easygoing and adaptable he can be. He does experience some carsickness on longer trips, but this is easily managed with Dramamine when needed. Because of his gentle and sensitive nature, Koda would thrive in a calm home without small children, where he can enjoy a predictable routine and plenty of companionship. As an Anatolian mix, Koda can be protective of his home and may resource guard his space with unfamiliar visitors. For this reason, he needs an adopter who understands guardian-breed traits and is willing to manage introductions appropriately and advocate for his success. Koda is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He is being fostered in a home in Seguin, Texas. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate dog who loves both snuggles and playtime, Koda may be the perfect addition to your family. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. This is the best dog you will ever find. He is sweet great with kids and other dogs. He obeys verbal and hand commands. Still working on stay when there are squirrels . He comes with the crate you need because he does get so bummed when left alone. He doesn’t chew or mess in the house . He is incredibly gentle loves walks and car rides . If I could take him with us I would he is an angel in a dogs body.

Story
Very happy farm dog, loves everyone he meets, but might bark at the bad guys. He’s a protector for his family. My kids wanted him and have gone off to college. I'm moving into a house with a small yard and am unable to keep him with me. He is used to roaming free on more space, but is slowing down as he gets older and likes to lay on the porch and sleep his day away. He enjoys his job as farm dog, happy to interact with other animals. He spends a majority of his time outside but enjoys coming inside for a can of wet dog food and then right back outside to get to work
