Copper was found as a puppy wondering near IH 35 about 4 years ago. He is a large dog who needs more room to run and play then our small yard allows. He plays well with our medium and small dog but we have to place his food bowl away from then as he does not like them near it. He loves to cuddle and lay his head in your lap anytime he's inside.

Hello my name is Scott, my parents are getting too old to take care of me and need a new home so I can get lots of cuddles. Scott is a sweet dog he does have a bite history with another dog but he’s good with his sister, he listen pretty good despite not much training. He is crate trained (if you throw a treat in) kinda leash trained ( I am trying to train him with my crazy school schedule)he’s also afraid of the rain and get very jumpy. Need gone ASAP

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bolt is waiting patiently for his forever home! Bolt is a 5 1/2 year old Great Pyrenees-Catahoula leopard dog mix. Bolt is a sweet and loyal companion, enjoys being in the yard when his foster mom gardens, and loves pets and attention. Bolt has a serious side, he barks when he perceives a threat (the UPS truck, mailman, etc) and a silly side, finding all sorts of random things to play with-he’d rather forage something around the house and cares less about dog toys. Bolt is super helpful around the house, he loves to help load the dishwasher, clean off the counters, and helps with the laundry by dragging clothes and towels from the laundry room outside in the rain, lol, he’s all about conservation! His new family should be sturdy as he can get spunky and want to play while doing zoomies around his people. He would love his own person/people to reciprocate his loyalty, someone who likes to relax and also find adventure. If you are looking for your “ride or die” dog, that’s Bolt, he is smart and eager to please. Bolt could get along with a female dog but would prefer to eat alone. Bolt is being fostered in Tacoma, WA and can be transported within WA and OR . All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  Adoption Fee: $175 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Transport Fee: none Transport fee includes the cost of transport plus the Health Certificate required for USDA approved transport. Adoption applications can be found on our website: www.greatpyrsandpaws.org https://greatpyrsandpaws.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5959   Northwest adopter pays cost of transport to independent transport company.  Transport is arranged by GPPR.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 8, 2026, 9:48 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Heidi! She was found as a stray but has all the manners of a house pet. Heidi has been housed with male dog and they love to play. She also played nice with a little female chihuahua mix. She's submissive, has no food, toy, kennel or other dog resource guarding traits at all. She's very sweet and loves everyone. She doesn't bark unnecessarily, she's great in a kennel, loves the water, and hasn't had any accidents indoors. She does like to dig a hole in the dirt on occasion and is learning not to jump up for kisses. Heidi is currently in Texas but can be transported to the PNW.   All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6.  Adoption Fee: $275 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Transport Fee: $350 Transport fee includes the cost of transport plus the Health Certificate required for USDA approved transport. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Here's Texana!  Texana is a beautiful, sweet and spunky  1 1/2 yr old girl, looking for a new place to crash.  She's come a long way in her current home, she would just prefer to be the only queen of the castle.  What we know of Texana, she was brought up to the PNW from Texas when she was about 3 months old and unfortunately, did not have a lot of socialization in her younger years.  Regardless, she knows some commands and wants to please her people.  Common of Pyrs she likes to patrol the property, bark at any potential threats, and can be a little stubborn, which is one of the reasons we love our Pyrs!  She's not a fan of cats and has not been exposed to livestock.  She would like do okay with a mellow male dog, meet and greets prior to adoption would be helpful.  Texana is being fostered by her current family in Olympia, WA and can be adopted within WA-OR. Story
Koda – 2.5-Year-Old Anatolian Mix | Calm, Gentle Soul Looking for a Quiet Home Koda is a 2½-year-old Anatolian mix weighing in at a perfect 50 pounds, and he is the definition of calm and steady. Whether indoors or outside, Koda carries himself with a peaceful, easygoing demeanor that makes him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a relaxed, low-key dog. On leash, Koda truly shines. He walks beautifully and naturally matches your pace, making daily strolls a pleasure rather than a chore. He is fully potty trained and understands the rhythm of home life, settling in comfortably and contentedly once he knows he’s safe. Koda is a true snuggler at heart. He loves being close to his people and enjoys quiet moments spent cuddling or resting nearby. Because of his gentle nature, Koda would do best in a calm household with no small children, where he can enjoy a predictable, peaceful environment and plenty of one-on-one companionship. Cats? No worries! Koda has lived in a home with cats and gets caught on video playing with their toys! When it comes to travel, Koda does get carsick on longer trips, but this is easily managed with Dramamine when needed. For everyday life and local outings, he does just fine and is happy simply being with his person. Koda is currently being fostered in a home in Seguin, Texas, where his calm personality and loving nature continue to shine. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who enjoys quiet walks, cozy snuggles, and a serene home, Koda may be the perfect match for you.
