Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sweet Bolt is still patiently waiting for his forever home.  Bolt came into rescue after being taken to a shelter by a family that said he had grown to be "too big".  While in rescue, he was caught in a weird matrix around Covid and post Covid and hardly received any applications. And for some reason we couldn’t secure a foster for him-until now.  Bolt has been in boarding all this time and although the people there took such great care of him, he much deserves his forever home.  He’s a sweet guy, he loves people and wants to follow his foster mom everywhere!  His foster mom is just getting to know him, but so far he’s a polite guest, not at all destructive, and asks to go outside when he needs to do his business.  He seems very smart and alert!  He’s quite a counter surfer but so far has only secured paper towels that he loves to shred.  He can get excited when meeting new people and greet them with hugs but settles down quickly. He’s being slowly tested with other dogs and cats as he gets comfortable in his new home.  He has DNA pending and we’ll update that when we know! Bolt is currently in Tacoma, WA and can be transported within OR-WA. All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  Adoption Fee: $175 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Transport Fee: $350 Transport fee includes the cost of transport plus the Health Certificate required for USDA approved transport. Adoption applications can be found on our website: www.greatpyrsandpaws.org https://greatpyrsandpaws.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5959   Northwest adopter pays cost of transport to independent transport company.  Transport is arranged by GPPR.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 10:32 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lucy is a sweet and gentle 2-year-old Great Pyrenees looking for a loving home! She’s fully house-trained and has a calm, independent personality, but don’t be fooled—she loves attention and will happily follow you around for belly rubs and pets. She gets along well with other dogs (she currently lives with a golden retriever!) but can be a little protective of her food, so she’ll need a bit of patience in that area. However, Lucy takes treats and food by hand very gently and responds very well to us getting in her space while eating. She’s still learning the ropes on a leash, but she doesn’t pull—just needs a little guidance. Lucy loves hanging out outside, especially on the patio, and while car rides aren’t her favorite, she’ll just lay down and relax in the back. She’s not super into toys, but she listens well when she knows she’s not supposed to do something. If you’re looking for a laid-back, affectionate pup who’s independent but always up for some love, Lucy might be the one for you! All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.  We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6.  Adoption Fee: $275 All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Transport Fee: $350 Transport fee includes the cost of transport plus the Health Certificate required for USDA approved transport. Story
Meet Kodak 🐾 Male Neutered 90 LBS Great Pyrenees Mix Up to date on vaccines — a handsome, intelligent boy with a strong personality and a big heart once he trusts you. My sister adopted Kodak from a rescue when he was 2 months old. He has always been skittish and shows fear-based aggression. Unfortunately, his triggers have led to some unpredictable reactions. Does not like kids, dogs, or cats. He did recently have an incident with my sister’s childhood cat, that resulted in a lost pet. Which is what has led us here.  However, in a stable and committed home with someone he trusts and is willing to reinforce these behaviors, Kodak is loyal, loving, and  playful. I am only able to keep him through the weekend. As I have 2 dogs of my own and they do not all get along. I am kindly asking for a rehoming fee of $25.   Any help or recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Total love bug loves cuddling and demands attention 25/7 Loves belly rubs and walks. Total scaredy cat but loves to chase squirrels and bark to protect family. She top speeds right now at 12 MPH - 16 MPH. Shes a total baby and loves family, but really nervous around other dogs due to her past with bad encounters. Shes about to be due for her shots. She doesn’t like big fire works or storms but will always make for sure the family is safe. No re homing fee is necessary. She is kennel trained and listens very well.
