Story
I am an Underdog in the Signature Pets Program because I have some touch sensitivities with my paws and I do not like to be groomed. My new forever family will need to be willing to work on this with me and have patience and understanding when it comes to these quirks. Since I'm an Underdog, my adoption fee is up to you! My name is Bella and I am a very high energy, often high anxiety Shephard mix. I am a lovely girl who loves to play and be silly but I have a lot of what they call 'quirks'. One thing is that I panic on leash. So I will need a strong adopter who can handle my crazy pulling while I learn that walkies are a good thing. I am also absolutely terrified of brushes and having my feet touched. If you touch my feet....I'm gonna tell you to get lost in a not so super nice way. But I'm just really scared of it, so I need someone who will respect my boundaries but also very slowly teach me that being brushed and having my nails clipped isn't going to be the end of the world. Although with my age it might just be that you have to be comfortable with me not learning to enjoy it...who knows!Besides my weird aversions to brushes and my feet being touched I do like affection, I love to play and run and be a typical dog. Do you think you can help me live my best doggo life? Then apply to adopt me today!

Story
Apollo is a very good dog but can’t t be locked up for more than a three hours. I work all day so Im not able to properly take care of him. He is walked three times a day each walk is about 1mile. It’s recommended for a fence in backyard but if not then walks are a must, with Apollo or any husky. Husky’s are an extremely prey driven dog so be aware if you have smaller animals like birds or rabbits. He is super friendly and good with kids and other dogs and cats. My job is very demanding so I can’t Care for him or give him the attention that he deserves. The ideal candidate would be someone who has plenty of time for him, and is outgoing. He is a good family dog or as a companion dog. Please text me and don’t t call me. Thank you

Story
Trinity is a very pretty Husky mix with blue eyes. She is currently fostered with other dogs in an adult home. We don't know how she is around young children but older kids should be fine. She is energetic and playful and might be a good companion for another dog. Those interested should be familiar with the breed. She would enjoy going on walks with someone willing to give her lots of love and attention. Trinity is microchipped. We think she is about 1-2 years old.

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay on Petfinder until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peak your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! Fill out the application (DOG: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=26, CAT: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=dr1937&method=online_form_html&formid=41, EXOTICS: https://us14b.sheltermanager.com/onlineform_view?formid=46) completely. Every question must be answered, and it must be signed.-Applicants must be 21+ years old and live within a 50-mile radius of our shelter at 22415 Groesbeck Hwy, Warren 48089.-You must identify at least 1 animal that you are interested in.Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other options. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). The introductions will take place outside in our parking lot (or in our cat room if you're meeting cats).-We will continue to perform vet checks for current and prior pets in the household.-Finalizing the adoption will also be scheduled by appointment.Thank you for your understanding.
