Story
Hello there friend, you can call me Blinko. I am a high energy husky who arrived to the shelter as a stray so I can't give you any of my previous history but I would be more than happy to tell you about myself. I love to run around and play although I have to be careful and watch my activity levels and remember to take lots of breaks because I have this thing called heartworm. I love to settle down next to you and always love a good scratch from the humans. I'm fairly treat motivated and love to learn new things when yummy snacks are involved. A couple of other things about me: I cannot be in a home with small animals including cats. They are just way too tempting to chase and play with. I also love kids. The issue with this is that I love kids so much and they make me way too excited that I dont know what to do with myself! So I end up jumping on them and scratching them, sometimes I even put my mouth on them because kids are so fun and I just want to play with them so much! Because of this, I cannot go to a home with young children. I dont mean to hurt anyone, I just am way too excited to control my self and sometimes that gets me into trouble.I really am a smart and super loving boy who just needs someone to give me a chance. I really hope that I can find my perfect forever home.

Story
Hello, my name is Kiera! I am SUCH a sweet, affectionate and loving girl. I have a sweet and gentle energy, and such a friendly and loving personality. Best words to describe me are: affectionate, mellow, independent, free-spirit. I already know a few cues like sit, down, and come, but am a smart girl and willing to learn more if you are willing to teach! I do okay with other doggos, but it's important they are respectful of me and don't get all up in my personal space as I don't like this too too much. I have lots to offer and cannot wait for my new adventure!

Story
We rescued this small, skittish husky mix rescued on Christmas. While Nocturna has now warmed up to handling, she is still an extreme flight risk. This means she will dart out doors, dart between your legs, through mesh screens, dig under fences - if you already have a husky, you may know what we are talking about! Nocturna is also the sweetest! She is eager and ready to trust humans - through bite sized interactions. Nocturna is good around other dogs, and would fit into most calmer households, kids 10 and up. Go double check that your fence is secure, and apply to foster-to-adopt Nocturna here: rebeldogsdetroit.com/applytoadopt Prior to adoption she will receive up to date vet care, vaccines, dewormer, microchip and spay surgery at our vet. The adoption fee for Nocturna is $275.

Story
Platinum came to us by SNEAKING INTO THE SHELTER! This boy is an Alaskan husky mix, and please don't apply if you don't have a 6foot super secure fence and another playful dog. He. Will. Escape. Let's move on the awesome parts: Platinum is super friendly, especially to dogs, all dogs, even slightly mean ones. He is potty trained and walks well on the leash. Platinum doesn't like toys or treats yet, he prefers to run around and sniff. Yard time is all he wants - and to chase other dogs around and be chased. You don't have to have a husky, but please have an energetic dog to make a perfect match! Apply through our website: rebeldogsdetroit.com/applytoadopt Included in the adoption fee of $275 is up to date vet care vaccines and dewormer, microchip and neuter surgery.

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay on Petfinder until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application! We will do our best to notify you by email if the pet(s) you are interested in are no longer available. New animals are posted daily, so please let us know if another furry friend peak your interest (there is no need to fill out a second application)! If you are unable to send in this format, please be prepared to provide this documentation in another way prior to adoption.Once your application is received, it will be assigned to one of our volunteer Adoption Counselors who will follow-up with the applicant who is the best fit within a few days, or to discuss other dogs/cats. It could take up to a couple of weeks for you to receive a final disposition on your application so there is no need to check on the status.-Introductions will be scheduled by appointment only, 30 minutes per appointment. The entire household, including current dogs, must be present for the appointment. (Note: Please do not bring your dogs if you are meeting cats!). Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Cleveland, he is absolutely adorable and one very sweet pup! He’s friendly, playful, healthy, energetic. He is super sweet and submissive. He does have lots of energy and wants to play but he also wants to learn as well. Older children beat because of his size he may knock little ones over. Two of his siblings adopters had DNA test done and we are confident in his breed mix and this makes for a wonderful dog. He is primarily Husky (results stated father was pure breed Husky) and his mom primary rottie mix with a smidge of boxer. He needs a home that is active has a large fenced yard and maybe even other doggy friends to play with as well. He is a high energy boy so if you’re not active or not home enough to help him release his energy then you won’t be able to Keep him happy. He’s is a lover and can be a couch tater as long as he is given ample opportunity to release any pent up energy by exercise and mental stimulation. Fenced yard is best for him and not a short fence as huskies tend to jump pretty high. A five foot fence or more would Be sufficient. An apartment would not be ideal for this athletic boy. He needs space to run and get his zoomies worked out. Lol Located in east TN. Out of state adoptions are welcomed for additional fee. Transport is available to many areas in the north east as well as the Great Lakes region. We use Rescue Riders for all our pet transport needs because they are the best! Please apply at petpath.org
