We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2613191##

My name is Willa and I love to play and just be around people and other dogs. I was brought to the shelter when the people decided they had too many dogs and got rid of some of us. I am a pretty Akita mix but I don`t have that reserved personality that some Akita`s have, it must be my mix of wonderful, friendly dog that makes me so special. If you have another dog for me to play with that would be great or if you just want to spend time with me and take me on walks and lots of play time that would be great too. You really need to meet me to see how unique I am, I think I am quite the beauty.
