Sokka is a 13 week old Akita/Husky mix and officially ready for adoption! Sokka is a big boy weighing 26 lbs and is gaining confidence every day. He would do best in a home with a confident canine companion. He is doing well with crate training but is still working through accidents when out of the crate. He absolutely loves being outside and but is not a fan of the cold weather! Due to hi breed makeup, we will not be placing him in an apartment. Our adoption requirements are listed on the website. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 3 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows paid by cash, a check made out to Rescue Row, Venmo: @Rescue-Row or at Zelle: info@rescuerowinc.org Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2613191##

Destiny is a puppy who is 6 mo. old. She has lots of energy, and likes to run outside, sit out in the sun, play with balls, plush animals, and plastic bottles. She is potty trained, responds to the "sit" command and notifies you when she wants to go outside and come inside. She is an explorer and very curious about her surroundings. Because she is still a puppy, she has a tendency to bite your hands and feet and chew on anything she can find. She loves to receive attention and if you do not give it to her, she will let you know by picking up one of her chewing toys and bringing it to you for a game of tug-of-war or will gently bite you for attention. Willa is a great mix of Akita and all around great dog. She has the beautiful Akita markings but a great happy go lucky attitude. Sheloves rough housing in the yard with the other dogs. Penny was part of a backyard breeder. But I rescued her and her siblings. Penny is a little over a year old and is the perfect mix of Husky brains and small-breed snuggles. At just 30lbs, she is a "portable" adventurer who is ready to find her forever pack. Penny is a professional lover—she specializes in sweet kisses and "love nibbles" to let you know you're her favorite person. She is a high-energy girl who lives for playtime and her chew toys. Penny is already house-trained and crate-trained (she knows the "cage" command!), and she’s a polite girl who listens well to "sit," "go lay down," and "no ma'am." The Perfect Match: Penny is a social butterfly! She currently lives with three other dogs and must have a playful canine sibling in her new home to keep her company. She also does great with children. Because she has that Husky "explorer" DNA, she needs a secure, fenced-in yard with no "adventure holes." If there's a way out, Penny will find it!

He’s is AMAZING with children and other dogs. I’m not sure on other animals. He loves car rides. Has SEVERE separation anxiety. Otherwise, he’s all perfect. Due to the anxiety, he hollers all day long and with numerous calls from neighbors, we’ve been told we need to rehome him. He really needs a companion and love! He will stick to your hip like glue and you will always have a shadow.
