Story
Meet Jackson, a handsome adult (estimated age 4-7 years old) neutered male husky who is every bit as sweet as he looks! This boy weighs about 47 lbs currently. His fur makes him look bigger than he is, but he's actually a bit underweight and needs to gain a few lbs (his foster is working hard at this, which Jackson does not mind ONE bit! ).  Jackson is a very sweet, friendly boy who loves his people and enjoys making new friends - human and canine alike! He loves kids, but we recommend older kids 8+ or dog savvy kids, as he may unintentionally knock over a small child. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats.  From Jackson's current foster:  "Jackson is a super nice, clean boy with flawless house manners. He has had no accidents and is not destructive at all. He's actually quite calm and extremely affectionate.  His loving nature sets him apart -- he makes himself available for hugs and petting. He's been wonderful with the neighborhood children. Everyone is his friend. He's a sweet deserving dog who is going to make someone very happy." He is medically up to date, housebroken (both his current and prior foster report that he has not had a single accident in the house!), and crate trained. Apply to meet this good boy today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2517941##

Story
Meet Vixen, a super cute ~3 month old female husky mix puppy! We are unsure of breed mix, but isn't she 100% adorable?! Based on their age and current size, we expect this litter to grow to medium/large dogs.  Vixen and her 8 siblings (the Reindeer litter) were sadly dumped at one of our rescue partners in TN when they were about 3 weeks old, without their mom. The man who dumped them stated that it was an oops litter and that he did not want to deal with them. The rescue tried to convince the man to let them help with spaying mom to prevent any future litters, but he refused to give her up. PRL took the 9 pups and placed them with our wonderful neonatal foster, who has nurtured them and helped them grow into the most perfect fat, happy little puppies! They are now ready to find their furever homes! Vixen is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone! Good with dogs, cats, people, and kids. Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper training and socialization, will grow into wonderful dogs. Huskies are an energetic, smart working breed who typically require a high level of physical and mental exercise/stimulation to keep them happy and out of trouble. From Vixen's current foster:  "Vixen is a pistol! She is the most affectionate little girl I’ve ever encountered and happily melts into cuddles with all humans and dogs alike! She has no fear. I think she’ll do great with any family of any kind!" These cuties are medically up to date (age appropriate), crate trained, and working on housebreaking. Apply to meet Vixen today!
