Story
Aramis, affectionately known as Ari. Ari is a 7.5-year-old spayed female Alaskan Klee Kai with a gentle soul and a quiet, observant nature. She recently came from a commercial breeder release, so she’s still learning what it means to be a beloved family dog—but she’s already showing so much potential in the right environment. Ari finds comfort in having her own safe space, especially her kennel, where she can relax and decompress. While it may take her a little time to settle in for the night, she’s learning that home life comes with routines and security—and a little smooth jazz seems to help lull her off to sleep. She enjoys being near her people and other dogs—from a distance—and will happily lounge on a blanket in the living room while you go about your day. Just being in the same space helps her feel included and safe. She’s beginning to explore her playful side, showing interest in other dogs with short bursts of excitement. A calm, confident canine companion could be a wonderful role model for her as she continues to come out of her shell. Ari is still building trust with humans. She’s not actively seeking out human touch. She will tolerate it when putting on collar/leash/harness but isn't coming up asking for pets. Ari is getting more comfortable relaxing near others in the house and she will gently take treats from your hand—a big step forward! With patience, consistency, and a quiet home, she will continue to gain confidence at her own pace. She’s also making great strides potty training when kept to a strict routine, with leashes, toys, and all the little joys of life inside a home. Ari is looking for a compassionate, patient adopter who understands that love sometimes starts at a distance. With time, kindness, and understanding, she has the potential to blossom into a deeply loyal and special companion.
