Story
Good day, I'm Yami, known for my handsome good looks and smoldering baby blues. What makes me stand out is I perform a "happy" bouncy dance for the volunteer walkers before they take me out for a walk and to play. It works because they are always happy after my dance. It's magical.Like most huskies, I'm smart, friendly, but shy, good disposition, and affectionate. I enjoy snuggling, pets, kisses, going on walks, playing with toys and snacks. I walk well on a leash and know basic commands like sit, down, wait, and heel, but I'm sure with love, structure and guidance I can learn alot more. The volunteers have been working with me on my manner and I have improved a great deal. I'm compatible with other dogs, but am dog selective. If you have a dog, you can bring it to visit me to see if we can be friends. I'm afraid I'm not a fan of cats or other small animals. I'm compatible with well-behaved older kids and would thrive with an active, loving family that has the time to provide me with both physical and mental stimulation. I know I can bring joy and happiness to your family. Please come see for yourself. I'll do my "happy" dance for you.My adoption fee of $150 means I'll come to you neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all my vaccinations. Please visit www.hsnb.org to fill out an adoption interest application and set-up a date. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 73.375 Age: 5yrs 4mths 1wks

Story
Meet adorable, fun, loving and super handsome Balsam! He is a 59 pound, 2-year-old, Siberian Husky mix ready to fill your home with joy! Here is what one of the volunteer dog walkers has to say about Balsam:"Not only is "Balsam" such a cool name, but Balsam is also a such cool dog, and for so many reasons! He is the perfect medium sized dog. He always has a smile on his face! His picture says it all, however you must see him in person to truly appreciate how handsome he is. Balsam's coat is a beautiful smooth mixture of white and gray with a touch of black and brown. His loving face matches his equally sweet & loving personality! He is also a very confident dog...rightfully so! Balsam loves spending time in the play yard as long as you are by his side. He will quickly bond with you and loves the attention from his human buddies. Balsam is super friendly, beyond cheerful and always excited. He is easy to walk, however he will grab his leash and likes to walk you...but only for a few minutes. He then quickly returns the leash control to you. He has a lot of energy, so have plenty of toys on hand. It is easy to place Balsam's collar and harness on and he will want to give you kisses and licks the entire time. He has shown no aggressiveness and has an overall great disposition. All he wants is to be loved by you! Balsam is very easy to handle and will crave your attention. He does well with treats and will take them gently from your hand. He is also super smart and easily trainable. In conclusion, you simply cannot help but in fall in love with Balsam. He will bond very quickly with his new forever adopted family and will make a great lifelong companion. In no time at all, he will easily become your new best friend!"Balsam also recently attended an adoption event at Mare Island Coal Shed Brewery. He did very well on the car ride there and back and did great interacting with lots of people, children and other dogs. Balsam's $300 adoption fee covers his neuter, all of his vaccinations including rabies, and his microchip. If you'd like to come meet this gentle soul, Balsam, please complete an adoption interest application at HSNB.org or follow the link in our bio. Hope to see you soon! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 59 Age: 2yrs 5mths 2wks

Story
E.P is a handsome big boy looking for his new home. He has many traits that are typical to his breed and is more independent. He can be selective with other dogs, so a slow introduction with any resident dogs is very important. A dog introduction will be required prior to adoption. He would not enjoy visiting dog parks. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.    If anyone needed a second chance, that was me. NorSled saw how much potential I had when no one else did.  I was extremely overweight, with matted fur, and severely neglected. I have since lost all the extra weight and my fur is slowly growing back. I am a big looking teddy bear in the making with velvety soft fur and the sweetest boy to hug. I feel so much healthier now, I love my walks and walk really well on leash. I enjoy my surroundings and give friendly greetings to those walking by, even leaning in for pets. I do enjoy my food too - I am extremely food motived but take treats very gently. I am crate trained and know my basic commands. I am very confident and opinionated so would benefit from a home with no other dogs, or ones that won't let me push them around, and a doting human with lots of time as I love my humans so much. If you are looking for a mellow love bug, I am the dog for you.Click here to watch a video of Shawn.      June 3, 2023, 1:25 am
