Meet Yako! This sweet eight year old came to us as an owner surrender after they could no longer provide for him. Yako spent his days hanging with his family at soccer tournaments and meeting all the friends. He is house trained and loves to go for walks and obviously spend time lounging in the snow. This is a gorgeous boy who needs a fresh start and he is so deserving. So far he has shown little interest in the barn cats or chickens. We are still getting to know him, but couldn't help but get eyes on him. Yako was imported from Mexico and is a smaller statured Malamute. He loves to talk and has been very easy to be around.

Meet Poe! He’s a 3-year-old purebred American Akita with a huge personality and love for snacks. Playful, loyal, and happiest outdoors or in the middle of the action, he’s truly the life of the party! Poe is strong-willed and stubborn, an Akita through and through. He needs someone willing to give him patience, structure, consistency, and time to build trust. He has done well with my dog and our neighbor’s dog and has lived with cats. Unfamiliar dogs require slow, patient introductions and time to adjust.Poe has been kind with children and does well with my toddler. However, he’s big, strong, and energetic and can overwhelm little ones when excited. Interactions with young children should always be supervised. He’s fully potty trained, lets you know when he needs to go outside, and knows basic commands. Poe has cystine crystals from a genetic mutation he needs a low protein diet and neutering may help. With the right home, Poe has plenty of love, fun, and companionship to give
