Looking to Re-Home Two Siberian Husky mixes. Boo & Wazowski are brother and sister and have been together since birth. They’re just under 2 years old (born January 3rd) and are extremely bonded, so they must stay together. They’re great around adults, kids, and other dogs. They can be a little nervous at first, but they warm up quickly and are very sweet once comfortable. Both are in excellent health, fixed, and up-to-date on their shots. They have lived primarily outdoors, so they aren’t fully house trained yet, but they have been indoors for short periods and have never been destructive. They are crate trained. As northern breeds, they do have the typical traits: • Can be little escape artists (but have never actually run away) • Boo loves to dig • They’re great at hunting field mice and small rodents • Active, smart, and playful They’ve lived with five other dogs with no issues. Meet Strider💙 — the handsome adventure buddy with the best mismatched eyes. Strider is a 7-year-young neutered male with a sweet, playful personality and a truly unforgettable look — he has one blue eye and one brown eye. He’s the kind of dog who will happily join you for a walk, romp around the yard, and then come inside to hang out and be your shadow. Strider is moderate energy: he loves walks, but he’s also totally happy to relax at home and play with you inside. While he’d love a yard to zoom around in, he would also likely do just fine in an apartment as long as he gets daily exercise and enrichment. ✅ Good with other dogs 🚫 Probably not good with cats (he is VERY interested in them) ✅ Great with visitors — he may give a couple soft “boofs,” then settles right in Strider enjoys toys (especially rubber balls) and one of his favorite hobbies is… enthusiastically destroying rubber toys. If you like buying toys and watching your dog have the time of his life? Strider is your guy. He is also neutered and fully vaccinated. Affectionate… with boundaries Strider is a very loving dog — he enjoys pets and snuggles and does well with handling when he approaches you first. He’s happiest when his humans respect his space and let him initiate affection (and once he does, he’s a total sweetheart). Training update Strider is currently working on: Crate training Leash training (he still pulls quite a bit) With consistency and positive reinforcement, he will continue to improve. Important note (please read) Strider does have a bite history. In a previous incident, someone leaned closely over him while he was grooming. Strider seemed got studded with the sudden move bit the person’s face, leaving two punctures. The incident was quick — he released immediately and did not attempt to bite again. Because of this, Strider needs: A home with no children Adults who understand dog body language A home that will be cautious when Strider is grooming himself, sleeping, or chewing bones/toys Strider is not a “bad dog” — he’s a dog who needs the right environment and humans who will respect his boundaries so he can feel safe and successful. Miko Snuggle Sized won the Snacky Smackies Award almost immediately, and we wish you could hear him eating a treat, it is full-blown snacky smackie goodness! The best part is he has absolutely no concern for how adorable he’s being. This big, gorgeous boy loves his snacks, gives wonderful kisses, and is will happily be your little spoon. At 78 pounds, “little” is open to interpretation, but Miko is proud to make it work. He’s bigger than your average Husky, with plenty of soft fur to sink your hands into and a lovely, confident way about him. He is wonderful in the car. Open the door and he jumps right in, settles beautifully, and enjoys the ride. A little breeze through his fur is especially appreciated. On our outings, he was quiet and well behaved, happily taking it all in without trying to climb around. He has great sea legs, too—comfortable keeping his balance as you make your way down the road. This boy has a permanent seat in our jeep if a drive is in order and he is available. Miko is good with other dogs and meets them confidently. He has a playful side and will bounce around with a friend, but he’s also perfectly happy to go lie down when he’s had his fun. Another dog could be lovely company, though we don’t think he needs a canine roommate to be happy. Time with his people seems to suit him just fine. And the snuggling? So good! Miko loves to get close, settle in, and give you kisses. Depending on how much room you take up, he makes a wonderful little spoon, but either way, you’ll have a very substantial cuddle buddy. He’s friendly meeting new people, too, so you won’t have to spend long admiring him from a distance before getting personally acquainted. From what we’ve seen, Miko is both house and crate trained. He has also been a quiet companion in the home, without much of the vocal commentary Huskies are known for. At seven, he still has plenty of bounce when he wants it, along with an appreciation for lying down and getting comfortable. No one yet has met him without rather quickly saying “What a good dog.” And we agree! Easy company, affectionate, happy to make friends, and a pleasure to take along.
