Meet Kandie!Kandie is a beautiful Alaskan Malamute who recently found herself in our care through no fault of her own. She’s an active, affectionate girl with that classic Malamute confidence and independence.Kandie loves people and truly thrives on attention - if you’re looking for a dog who enjoys being part of the action and soaking up affection, she’s your girl. She is looking for a family committed to continuing her basic training and giving her the structure and enrichment she needs to shine.She’s open to living with other dogs and kids, making her a wonderful candidate for an active home ready to embrace all the love (and fluff!) a Malamute brings.If you`re interested in meeting Kandie, she is located at the Pennsylvania SPCA Danville Center on Bloom Rd. We are open daily from 12:00-6:00pm and no appointment is needed. Please bring everyone who lives in your home and any current dogs with proof of up to date vaccinations. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Meet Mya! Mya is currently thriving in her foster home and doing absolutely amazing! She is well behaved, sweet, and has adapted beautifully to home life. Mya has a gentle personality and wonderful manners, making her an easy and loving companion. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.
