Story
Mordecai is a young Malamute that is very sweet and loving, but is indeed a puppy in a very large body. When he first came to us he had been mauled by two other dogs and he was battling mange. He has since recovered beautifully from all of that. His pictures here show some of that healing progress.  He is around 70 lbs currently, but may gain over the next year or so as he grows. Being so young and having had so little structure or boundaries in his life prior to coming to us, Mordecai does lack some impulse control and will need to build a bond and relationship with his new people in order to be his best self.  Mordecai is learning to sit patiently, but he is so highly food motivated sometimes he cannot contain himself. He would do best in a home without children or with older children that won't be easily knocked over as he doesn't manage his own large body well at times.  With time and patience, Mordecai will make a great dog for someone looking for a companion or an adventure buddy.  Petfinder: If you are interested in adopting Mordecai, please visit RedstoneHuskyRescue.org/adopt for his adoption profile and application.  ##1872709##

Story
Sweet, lovable teddy bear, Sitka! He has been in our home with 4 other dogs and likes to think he is the king of the castle. We rescued him at 18 months due to him living in small trailer home. We had a large backyard and two other huskies who he made friends. He doesn't do well with babies and small children, only in that he is so overwhelming and wants to get in their faces. He also doesn't like cats. He loves to go on walks and play. Very loyal and intelligent! We are an older couple and my husband just had hip surgery so he is too large for me to handle alone. We want to find someone who would give him a loving place to live.

Story
We got Rain from a pet store when he was only couple months old. He’s the sweetest biggest boy. Super friendly, does not like vet and that is the only person he will growl at haha. But otherwise he plays with cats just fine he’s friendly with people and is energetic. He hasn’t been around children before so we aren’t sure how he behaves around them. He loves bananas, apples, and watermelon! He is 7 years old, birthday is 01/08/2018. A really kind soul who loves belly rubs. I will be relocating overseas and looking for a warm loving home that can shower him with love. It may take some time for him to start listening to you (he is quite stubborn) but he will listen. He pulls during walks but nothing crazy. I want him to be happy and to get the life he deserves because he’s the best dog anyone can have.

Story
Monica is all things sweet, goofy, and loving. She just melts when given attention, always coming over to her fosters for pets and belly rubs. She is also a massive snuggle-bug, fitting her 24lb-frame onto any lap. Despite being so young, Monica (“Monnie”, as nicknamed by her fosters) is incredibly smart and observant. She picks up on training extremely quickly, already having mastered “sit”, “shake”, and “down”. She tries her best to please and takes corrections well. She is fully kennel trained and doing very well with potty training, the only accidents she has being right by the back door. Monica enjoys playing with toys and wrestling with the other dogs in her foster home. She blossoms the most in the company of other dogs, so we require a canine companion in her forever home. Monica is an almost 5 month old Alaskan Malamute/American Pit Bull Terrier/Siberian Husky (among 18 other breeds) mix who is expected to be a medium/large dog when full grown. If you are interested in adopting her, please submit an application at rescuerowinc.org! *Due to her breed makeup, we will not be placing her in an apartment. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2352025##
