Story
We have cherished Hachi since he was a puppy, bringing him into our family from Pet Land for $4000. As a purebred Alaskan Malamute, he turned six on February 10, 2024. We have his AKC certificate as well that shows all his family history. Hachi has been an incredibly intelligent, affectionate, playful, and devoted companion who adores cuddles. We love him very much. However, with a one-year-old at home and another on the way, our lives have become increasingly hectic with the demands of parenting and work. Regrettably, we find ourselves unable to provide Hachi with the attention and care he deserves. We are seeking a new home where he will receive the love and engagement he craves. It is important to us that Hachi continues to enjoy walks, playtime, and plenty of affection. While this decision weighs heavily on our hearts, we believe it is in Hachi's best interest to find a family who can dedicate more time to him.

Story
Meet Hachi: Your Loyal Adventure Buddy!
Hachi, a spirited 6-year-old pure bred Alaskan Malamute, weighs in at a robust 100 pounds, boasting a striking sable and white coat and warm brown eyes that mirror his adventurous spirit. Known for his gentle embrace, Hachi loves hugs; just spread your arms, and he will hop right into them with care. With a heart of gold and a penchant for playfulness, Hachiâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s endearing quirk is his love for Chicken jerky treats, which he eagerly awaits each morning. Purchased from Pet Land for $4000, Hachi, a certified pedigree with a family history of 4 generations, has been a beacon of unwavering loyalty, weathering lifeâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s storms with resilience and grace. He is up to date with all medical needs, including vaccinations, neutering, and microchipping.

Boundless Energy and Affection
Hachi is a bundle of energy, always ready for a game of fetch or a romp in the park. He loves his squeaky burger toy. He adores children and is gentle and patient with them, making him the perfect family companion. Hachiâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s ideal home would provide ample space for him to explore, a loving family to dote on him, and plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventures. When not chasing after tennis balls, Hachiâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s favorite pastime is cuddling up with his humans for some quality snuggle time.

Well-Mannered and Intelligent
Crate-trained and leash-trained, Hachi is a well-behaved gentleman who knows his manners. He has mastered basic commands with ease and is always eager to learn new tricks. Fully housebroken, Hachi adapts well to new routines and environments, maintaining his good behavior consistently. His ideal home would provide a structured routine and lots of mental stimulation to keep his sharp mind engaged. Hachi thrives in environments where he can continue to learn and be mentally challenged. Our veterinarian praises Hachi for his friendly demeanor and excellent health.

Why Hachi Needs a New Home
Rehoming Hachi is not a decision we have taken lightly. With our family growing and our schedules becoming increasingly demanding, we find ourselves unable to provide him with the level of care and attention he truly deserves. Hachi is a beloved member of our family, and it is with heavy hearts that we seek a new home for himâ&#194&#128&#194&#148one where he can continue to flourish and receive the dedicated care and love he needs.

Story
Meet Denali! He is a 1 yr old neutered male Alaskan Malamute mix that weighs 50lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 4/13 as a stray. This wonderful boy we feel did have a family yet they have not come to reclaim him. He has an upbeat, happy go lucky personality. He is always smiling. Denali loves to be petted, hugged and loved on. He is like a big teddy bear with alot of fluff!! He walks great on a leash, takes treats gently and appears to be housetrained. Walking through the shelter with other dogs barking at him, he didn't pay any attention. Kept his head and tail up and pranced on by. If you do have another dog in the family please ask the shelter for a dog test. He has lived indoors and was well cared for. And that is what he needs to have again. A family that is familiar with the breed, with his grooming needs, but most importantly given plenty of love and I promise he will give plenty back! He is a volunteer favorite. Come meet him and you will see why we are so taken with him.

Story
Saiph is a spayed female husky mix that weighs approximately 55 lbs. She is shy at first meeting new people, but will warm up after a short time. She requires slow dog to dog introductions. She is likely not safe around cats.  She is very sweet once she opens up and is rather quiet on the day to day. She will bark and become vocal if another dog encouches on her space, but we work with her every day on this.  Saiph was found as a stray and had very obviously recently weaned a litter. She was heartworm positive and has completed treatment with us. If you are interested in Saiph, please fill out her adoption application and we will reach out to you as quickly as possible!  Petfinder: Please visit RedstoneHuskyRescue.org/adopt for adoption profiles and appications.  ##1568471##

Story
Mordecai is a young Malamute that is very sweet and loving, but is indeed a puppy in a very large body. When he first came to us he had been mauled by two other dogs and he was battling mange. He has since recovered beautifully from all of that. His pictures here show some of that healing progress.  He is around 70 lbs currently, but may gain over the next year or so as he grows. Being so young and having had so little structure or boundaries in his life prior to coming to us, Mordecai does lack some impulse control and will need to build a bond and relationship with his new people in order to be his best self.  Mordecai is learning to sit patiently, but he is so highly food motivated sometimes he cannot contain himself. He would do best in a home without children or with older children that won't be easily knocked over as he doesn't manage his own large body well at times.  With time and patience, Mordecai will make a great dog for someone looking for a companion or an adventure buddy.  Petfinder: If you are interested in adopting Mordecai, please visit RedstoneHuskyRescue.org/adopt for his adoption profile and application.  ##1872709##
