Story
Meet Koda! Your new fluffy BFF! Age: 3 years | Weight: 63 lbs Koda is a stunning husky/malamute mix who is ready to find her forever home! Unlike many huskies, she’s a low-maintenance girl, perfectly content with a short walk or some yard time before heading back inside to enjoy the AC. Koda is crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and is potty trained. She’s gentle, curious, and independent, making her an easy companion who doesn’t demand constant attention. That said, Koda will do best with structure and boundaries. She can be protective of her food, toys, and favorite spots, so she will need a confident adopter who understands how to manage resource guarding or is open and willing to learn. Feeding her in her crate and skipping couch privileges will help set her up for success. Because she can be protective of her things with other dogs and is a bit too interested in cats, she will do best as an only pet in the home. Koda is also a true beauty queen! With her gorgeous coat, she’ll need regular brushing to keep her looking and feeling her best. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who enjoys a calmer lifestyle, Koda may be your perfect match. She’s ready to share her love and personality with the right family! Apply to adopt Koda at: acesplacerescue.org/availabledogs Located in Denton, Texas

Story
Say hello to Loki, the smallest of the Akita-Cattle Dog mix puppies, but don’t let his size fool you—this pint-sized pup is packed with personality and brains! What Loki lacks in stature compared to his siblings, he more than makes up for with his sharp intelligence and fearless spirit. He’s the only puppy to conquer the curved roof of a dog igloo, proudly standing and lounging like the talented little king he is. Loki plays hard to get, making you work for his attention, but once he’s in, he’s all in—showering you with quick, affectionate licks. Always in the middle of the action, this fast learner loves to keep things lively and isn’t afraid to “argue” with a stubborn streak when you try to tell him what to do. Perfect for a family who loves a smart, spirited companion with a touch of sass, Loki’s ready to charm his way into your heart and keep you on your toes! Adopt this clever little mischief-maker and get ready for a whirlwind of fun and love!
