Story
Meet Luna/Daisy (she goes by both), a wonderfully sweet and friendly dog with boundless energy. She adores cuddles and playtime, especially with children aged 8-14, whom she's phenomenal with. Since June 2023, Luna has lived harmoniously with two cats, demonstrating excellent compatibility. She's responsive to basic commands, though her excitement sometimes leads to adorable wiggles. Luna walks calmly on a leash, is fully potty trained, and can be left alone without accidents during the workday. While she enjoys socializing with dogs of all sizes, she approaches cautiously and prefers to sniff them. Luna is well-behaved in the home, showing no destructive tendencies except for the occasional stuffed animal. Despite her impeccable behavior, her only challenge is managing allergies and skin issues that emerged after adoption. Luna comes fully equipped with everything she needs: Water and food bowls Remaining food Two collars and one leash Approximately 10 rolls of poop bags (holder lost) Dog socks Shirts to protect her skin in case of allergic reactions Two medical cones Medicated shampoo and ear cleaning solution prescribed by the vet Apoquel and Prednisone medications One large 3-knot tug rope Tennis balls Large dog bed Large dog crate With Luna, you'll not only gain a loving companion but also everything necessary to ensure her comfort and well-being. Please email BICKLEKT@GMAIL.COM to meet sweet Luna/Daisy.

Story
Meet Bubba! This big boy is as special as a unicorn, and is looking for an equally special family to love him just the way he is. We call that a "unicorn adoption"- could you be Bubba's unicorn?! Bubba is a friendly and charming five-year-old Bulldog. He is always happy to meet a new friend and will plop his big head on your leg for pets and love. He's happy to give kisses and yeah, they come with a little (ok, a lot) of drool. ;-) Bubba has a moderate energy level and would love a yard in his forever home, so he can sniff and explore in the sunshine. When he's not busy outside, he will be right by your side keeping you company. Bubba loves to be involved in all things you are doing, and keep an eye on all the goings-on. He would do best with a family that is home more often than not. Bubba has quite a few medical needs that his forever family should be committed to upkeeping. To start, Bubba is incontinent and needs to wear diapers. He will require changes multiple times a day to keep him clean and infection free. Bubba is used to this process and will happily hop in the tub for a cleaning/change, in exchange for a biscuit. Because of his incontinence, Bubba is prone to urinary tract infections and may require antibiotics periodically throughout his life. Bubba also requires a special prescription diet, as he has very sensitive digestion.  We know we are looking for a unicorn in Bubba's adopter, but we also believe that unicorns DO exist! If you think you might be that special someone for Bubba, give us a call or email to set up a meet and greet; 602-526-0842, chitownrescue@gmail.comMarch 1, 2024, 1:58 am

Story
Meet Scooter! Now we know the first thing you see with Scooter is his diaper- yep, this guy is special and will need an equally special family, willing to provide him the medical care he requires. Scooter came to Chi Town rescue as an owner surrender, when his owner was no longer able to provide him the care he needed. More on that later, but first let's talk about how ADORABLE Scooter is! Two-year-old Scooter is a friendly and affectionate guy who will rest his head on your leg and melt your heart. He loves attention and pets, and will be an amazing companion dog to join you in watching your favorite sport or tv show. Scooter has a mostly chill energy and gets along with his roommate at rescue. He would love to meet your dog from home to see if they are a match too. As you probably guessed from the diaper, Scooter is incontinent due to partial paralysis in his back end. He "scoots" around just fine on his front legs though, and loves to be wherever you are. Scooter's forever family will need to be willing to keep him clean with multiple diaper changes a day. The good news is, he is used to this process and it's quite quick, with Scooter allowing all handling. Because of his incontinence, Scooter is prone to urinary tract infections and may require antibiotics throughout his lifetime. Scooter's legs are wrapped to protect his skin from further break-down due to the scooting; these bandages need to be changed daily. Scooter is a lot of work, but we find him to be more than worth it. Maybe YOU are Scooter's special person? If you would like to meet him, please contact Chi Town Rescue for a meet and greet by calling 602-526-0842 and/or emailing chitownrescue@gmail.com.March 1, 2024, 1:58 am

Story
Rico is such a happy go lucky guy! Lol We were alerted that someone had found a lost dog who was chipped but the owner had never registered the chip. Through allot of hard work we finally tracked down the owner. When we talked with Rico’s owner and said we had his dog….he was so excited! We said we can get him back to u right away and now he is current on shots, neutered and we will always be in second place on his chip. When his former owner found out that we had neutered him…..we were not going to charge any fees….free…..but he no longer wanted Rico because he was neutered!!! Such a good dog and you don’t want because he is fixed? Well now we have this beautiful, sweet boy and will find him a home where he will always be loved. Rico loves to play with other dogs and we think he would be best in a home with other dogs. Adoption fee is $150 and that includes neuter, shots, microchip and 30 days of free pet insurance. Story
We’ve had Thunper since she was an 8 week old puppy. She is great with dogs but unsure about cats. She’s is 9 years old and because of her age she is not very good with younger children, my wife and I have a new born on the way and unfortunately cannot take the risk regardless of how much we love our little girl. I would like her to go to a home who will love and cherish her as she is such an amazing soul. It’s very difficult for me to let her go but it is the best decision. She loves walks and loves being out and about. Perfer she goes with someone who has experience with bulldogs

Story
Hi, I'm Beth! I just turned 1, and this last year I have been learning so much about life! I have learned that I can be in public without stressing out and barking at everyone. I worked really hard, and now I get to go to adoption events and meet new people! I have met some kids also, which is fun because I don't have any in my foster home, and I do okay with them. I love my foster brothers, and I play really well with them. I like treats and toys and have excellent leash manners. I think cats are fun to chase, so I am only allowed to go to a 'no cats' home. I am medium sized, about 33 pounds, but that doesn't mean I won't run and play with the big dogs! I have had some anxiety, but my foster dad keeps working to train me, and I want to keep learning with my new family, too. If you want to meet me, I will be at the adoption event at PetSmart on Saturday, and I am really hoping to meet my new family while I am there! https://forms.gle/zxH9sZwuJ4XFqM5r9

Story
Hi! My name is Jameson (Jamee as my foster family calls me). We think my birthday is around 7/14/2016 but I look like a young adult. I am a large teddy bear who LOVES people (big and small) and toys! I have a lot of love to give to my new family. I prefer not to share my love with other pet siblings - my foster mom thinks there is some history behind this preference. All I need is two meals (snacks would be nice!), two small walks a day, and plenty of love and affection! I sleep through the night on my bed and lounge on my soft blanket, I don't damage anything in the house, and I am fully house trained. I give my all to any family that wants me, I believe every dog has its family and I hope you are mine! If you would like to get to know me better, please schedule a meet and greet with my foster family or rescue. Feel a 'Love Connection'?
