Meet Scooter! Now we know the first thing you see with Scooter is his diaper- yep, this guy is special and will need an equally special family, willing to provide him the medical care he requires. Scooter came to Chi Town rescue as an owner surrender, when his owner was no longer able to provide him the care he needed. More on that later, but first let's talk about how ADORABLE Scooter is! Two-year-old Scooter is a friendly and affectionate guy who will rest his head on your leg and melt your heart. He loves attention and pets, and will be an amazing companion dog to join you in watching your favorite sport or tv show. Scooter has a mostly chill energy and gets along with his roommate at rescue. He would love to meet your dog from home to see if they are a match too. As you probably guessed from the diaper, Scooter is incontinent due to partial paralysis in his back end. He "scoots" around just fine on his front legs though, and loves to be wherever you are. Scooter's forever family will need to be willing to keep him clean with multiple diaper changes a day. The good news is, he is used to this process and it's quite quick, with Scooter allowing all handling. Because of his incontinence, Scooter is prone to urinary tract infections and may require antibiotics throughout his lifetime. Scooter's legs are wrapped to protect his skin from further break-down due to the scooting; these bandages need to be changed daily. Meet Bubba! This big boy is as special as a unicorn, and is looking for an equally special family to love him just the way he is. We call that a "unicorn adoption"- could you be Bubba's unicorn?! Bubba is a friendly and charming five-year-old Bulldog. He is always happy to meet a new friend and will plop his big head on your leg for pets and love. He's happy to give kisses and yeah, they come with a little (ok, a lot) of drool. ;-) Bubba has a moderate energy level and would love a yard in his forever home, so he can sniff and explore in the sunshine. Earl just might be the cutest hot mess any of us have ever had the opportunity to love on. This gentle, giant, 75-pound American Bulldog and Cane Corso mix found himself homeless and he was taken to the county shelter. Home Fur Good fell in love, even with him covered in dirt and grime, and being snotty, goopy, drippy, and lumpy. Every time a new person lays eyes on him, they coo with delight. It took a couple of months for Earl to get over his coughs, colds, and ailments. He had large fatty masses removed and he required extensive dental work; his canines were worn down to the gums. Best guess is that Earl is eight years old; he has seen and done some things that we can only wish to know about. Home Fur Good is working to get Earl’s allergies under control. He will require special food and daily ear drops for the remainder of his life. Earl would do best as an only pet. If you can provide him with a comfortable home, some strolls about town and crunchy treats, come meet Earl at Home Fur Good! Call 602-971-1334 for a meet and greet appointment. Earl's adoption fee is $150. All adoption fees include spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Hello! I'm Murray, a pup who's had quite the journey. I've been with a wonderful foster family since January, where I've grown from a shy dog into a confident companion, especially loving my time with their 4-year-old son. In June, we hit a bump in the road when I started having trouble with my back leg. It turned out I needed TPLO surgery. The nice people at One Love were able to raise the funds needed and off to surgery I went. I'm now fully recovered and excited to become a permanent member of a loving family.
