Story
After picking up Harvey from the shelter, he has proven to have some of the best qualities of a true American Bulldog. He is people friendly, confident but not dominant, strong, energetic, ready to please, and he loves car rides. He has been neutered and is up to date on vaccines. He is crate trained. He is house broken. He loves to go on walks or have plenty of fenced yard to play. He is already a great leash walker! American Bulldogs dogs are known to get into mischief in the house without exercise. When he’s ready to relax, he will sit right next to you and enjoy being close to his human. He responds well to “sit,” “come,” and “give paw.” Harvey would probably be best with an active person or family or a family with older children (12 or older) due to his size. He needs to be the only pet in the house. Harvey suffered significant left-side facial trauma due to dog bites before he was rescued. There is no long term damage, but the repair has given him a unique look! Harvey might be the most well behaved bulldog we have rescued. If you’re looking for a new companion, consider Harvey!

Luna is a friendly, people-loving bulldog mix who’s looking for her forever home. At approximately 3 years old and 53lbs, she’s the perfect size for cuddling, and she has a calm, gentle temperament with only the occasional bark. Luna is housebroken, knows basic commands like “sit” and “shake” (paw), and enjoys her daily walks, sunbathing sessions, and chewing on her favorite toys. While she’s a loving companion, Luna does need to be the only pet in the household and would thrive in a home with no children under 12. She’s up to date on all her vaccinations and in excellent health. Luna is ready to bring joy to a person or family who wants to give this sweet, deserving girl a second chance at the loving home she deserves.

Story
Matilda is a about 6 years old and weighs 51 lbs. She was relinquished by her original owner in 2019. She was born with an eye problem and the breeder couldn’t sell her so they wanted to get rid of her. She has been living with the Sanctuary Director since 2020. They are not home much and she really needs somebody who will give her more attention. She needs to lose a few pounds but she is very friendly and outgoing. She is fine with other dogs and cats. She’s had 3 surgeries on her left eye, first two didn’t work so as a last ditch effort, on 9/22/25, they removed the eye and she is doing very well. Story
Bertha is the sweetest girl. I found her in the alley behind my apartment. Her front legs are bent at the wrist. Her mobility is fine and she loves to play fetch. She loves hiding and keeping her toys in one area. She gets super excited and starts jumping and spinning around during feeding time. A yard would really work best for her. I live on the 2nd floor and it's not the most convenient to let her out to go to the bathroom.
