Story
This big girl was found in the middle of nowhere, it took us 5 days to capture her, as she was afraid. Once in our hands, she understood that nothing was wrong and gave us her trust. She is a big goofy girl, she doesn't measure her strength and is great for a very active person who likes to run around and play ball. Holly deserves lots of love and loves to receive it, we know her looks can be intimidating but she is the cutest and most adorable little girl you will ever meet! She is learning to sit to wait for her food, but she is just too playful and bouncy! Always with lots of energy and love to give. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego

Oslo is housebroken and is great with people!Best Attribute: He's the chillest boy this side of the Mississippi.Area of opportunity: He can be protective of his home if he believes it to be his responsibility and thus needs a solid leader to set the boundaries. If you're a sucker for a dog with a big head and equally big heart, apply to meet him today at www.thebarkinglot.net/adopt!To initiate the adoption process for this dog, please complete our online application by clicking below. Story
Astro will match your energy. He likes to run around and play and also likes to take a good old fashioned nap in the sun. I've socialized Astro since he was a puppy. He regularly goes to the dog park. True to his breed he is defensive around his owner, but he is also playful once he feels comfortable around the other dogs. At the dog park, if he observes other dogs getting into arguments, then he will jump in and break them up. He is a very curious dog. He wants to be in the center of what is happening and sees the world through his nose. He is content to just sit at your feet while you work and be with you. Astro is both crate and house trained. On cold days he will let us know he needs to go. On warm days we tend to leave the door open a little and he lets Astro knows how to sit, stay, lay down. After his daily walk he knows to sit before we will take off his harness. He also knows how to fetch. We engaged with a professional trainer to help us get him settled.

Story
Meet Camper! Camper was found tied to a bench outside of Chula Vista Animal Care Facility. We scooped him up to become a Frosted Face on February 21st. He is around 10 years old, weighs 71 lbs., and is very friendly and sweet. If you are looking for a loving, fun, and cuddly best friend, Camper might be the one for you! Camper is an all-around good boy! He's mellow, likes to play with toys, and gets along well with the 8+ dogs in his play group. Camper enjoys going on our weekly FFF hikes, has good leash manners, and walks slowly and steadily for about two miles on the trails. Casper also enjoys going on solo outings with volunteers and earns high marks for being a well-behaved, relaxed date at wineries, parks, and restaurants. He rides nicely in cars, too! Camper was chosen to go on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn what he is like in a home. His family observed how much happier and calmer he was in their home after he settled in, and they decided to foster Camper. Camper recently had surgery to remove most of his tail due to a cancerous mass, and we are so thankful that he was able to recover in a home and get lots of TLC. His Foster Mom shared this update: "What surgery? This guy is healthy, happy, and all healed. Camper has grown so much since we brought him home, and I am here to tell you how wonderful he is!! Camper loves toys. Whoever adopts him must have toys, as he wants one with him wherever he goes. Camper also loves a morning walk, breakfast, and a nap. Now that it's hot, we stay in most of the day, and once it cools off, we like to do another walk. Camper likes hanging out while I work online, and he sleeps when I sleep. He's such a good boy and so deserving of a loving and wonderful home. He was just stressed, but once he got out of a kennel and into a home routine, he was able to really decompress. Here is what else I know about Camper: - great with kids - rides great in the car - sleeps through the night - good appetite - house-trained - excellent with big and small dogs - non-reactive to my cats Camper loves car rides, too! I had to make a run to the gas station, and he jogged out to the car wagging his tail and stood at the door! He hopped right in and after about 5 min, laid right down. When I went into the station to pay, he waited quietly at the window and laid back down when I got back! Camper is such a good boy." Camper is now back on-site and is ready for his forever home. He loves people and would make a wonderful addition to your family!

Story
MEET PEACHES! She is as sweet as her name. Peaches was rescued from a local shelter euthanasia list. She has medium to low energy. Peaches is dog selective and would do best with older kids and no cats or small dogs. She would be OK being the only animal in the home. Peaches is very sweet and loves to get pets and cuddle with you. Don’t let her big size fool you as she is an absolute love bug. Peaches is potty trained and crate trained. She is five years old and very easy to manage as long as she gets enough attention and some activity, but she doesn’t need much. Short walks will be fine for her because she gets tired pretty easily. She is strong because of her size. Peaches is about 85 pounds of pure love. She would do best as an inside dog, since she does have allergies being in the sun. She would be OK in a home or apartment/condo as long as she has outside space to access, but she should not be kept outdoors. Please let us know if you can foster her long-term for this rescue who is in desperate need of help. Fostering for a rescue still helps save lives because it allows the rescue to take in more dogs from the shelter. Her Rescue will cover basic needs, including food and medical expenses as well as supplies. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Peaches, please contact us.
