Story
This big girl was found in the middle of nowhere, it took us 5 days to capture her, as she was afraid. Once in our hands, she understood that nothing was wrong and gave us her trust. She is a big goofy girl, she doesn't measure her strength and is great for a very active person who likes to run around and play ball. Holly deserves lots of love and loves to receive it, we know her looks can be intimidating but she is the cutest and most adorable little girl you will ever meet! She is learning to sit to wait for her food, but she is just too playful and bouncy! Always with lots of energy and love to give. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash. The adoption fee does not include transportation to North of San Diego

Story
Meet Morgan! She is a 2 year old Bully breed mix. She is an INCREDIBLY fun-loving pup. She absolutely LOVES to learn and will make a perfect adventure pal. She especially gets along best with male dogs. We sent her to CRT K9 to undergo training and she is ready for adoption! They've tested her for search/rescue work, as well as climbing work, jump work, and running. She passes every qualification test with flying colors! She thrives in everything. We've never seen a pup so capable of so much. She'll do best in a home without small animals (she has prey drive ), or other female dogs.June 15, 2024, 7:42 pm

Story
DOB: August 2015Weight: 80lbsTemperament: Easy-going, Happy, FriendlyFrom: Handsome Oslo came to us from a shelter in Moreno Valley, CA. He had many ticks and fly strike when found, and had probably been an outdoor dog. Oslo has captured the hearts of volunteers with his sweet temperament. He gets along well with other medium-large dogs in his play group. If adopted into a home with another dog, he needs leadership and guidance to be the best version of himself. Oslo is housebroken and is great with people!Best Attribute: He's the chillest boy this side of the Mississippi.Area of opportunity: He can be protective of his home if he believes it to be his responsibility and thus needs a solid leader to set the boundaries. If you're a sucker for a dog with a big head and equally big heart, apply to meet him today at www.thebarkinglot.net/adopt!To initiate the adoption process for this dog, please complete our online application by clicking below. Story
Astro will match your energy. He likes to run around and play and also likes to take a good old fashioned nap in the sun. I've socialized Astro since he was a puppy. He regularly goes to the dog park. True to his breed he is defensive around his owner, but he is also playful once he feels comfortable around the other dogs. At the dog park, if he observes other dogs getting into arguments, then he will jump in and break them up. He is a very curious dog. He wants to be in the center of what is happening and sees the world through his nose. He is content to just sit at your feet while you work and be with you. Astro is both crate and house trained. On cold days he will let us know he needs to go. On warm days we tend to leave the door open a little and he lets Astro knows how to sit, stay, lay down. After his daily walk he knows to sit before we will take off his harness. He also knows how to fetch. We engaged with a professional trainer to help us get him settled.

Story
Meet Camper! Camper was found tied to a bench outside of Chula Vista Animal Care Facility. We scooped him up to become a Frosted Face on February 21st. He is around 10 years old, weighs 71 lbs., and is very friendly and sweet. If you are looking for a loving, fun, and cuddly best friend, Camper might be the one for you! Camper is an all-around good boy! He's mellow, likes to play with toys, and gets along well with the 8+ dogs in his play group. Camper enjoys going on our weekly FFF hikes, has good leash manners, and walks slowly and steadily for about two miles on the trails. Casper also enjoys going on solo outings with volunteers and earns high marks for being a well-behaved, relaxed date at wineries, parks, and restaurants. He rides nicely in cars, too! Camper would love a comfy, relaxing home with lots of couches and beds to snuggle on. He loves people and would make a wonderful addition to your family! Camper went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn what he is like in a home. His Fling Mom reports: "This guy has grown so much since we brought him home, and I am here to tell you how wonderful he is!! First, I am always floored at the amount of stress a dog can absorb and still keep functioning. For those of you who don't know Camper well on-site, he's been a barker. On hikes, not so much because he is out looking at stuff. The first couple of days he was here, he barked a lot. For attention, for toys, just in general. I am thrilled to report that in the last 48 hours we have had only 2 short barking spells total! Oh my gosh! His demeanor has changed so much, too! Camper so enjoys his toys, and when he barks now it is mostly just to get us to toss one for him. That's what dogs do! He loves, loves, loves his morning wandering around outside with me. Leash or no leash, he gets out his morning energy and that truly sets the tone for the first half of the day. He just chills and rests the remainder of the day. Camper likes hanging out while I work online, and he sleeps when I sleep. He's such a good boy and so deserving of a loving and wonderful home. He was just stressed, but once he got out of a kennel and into a home routine, he was able to really decompress. Here is what else I know about Camper: - great with kids - rides great in the car - sleeps through the night - good appetite - house-trained - excellent with big and small dogs - non-reactive to my cats Camper loves car rides, too! I had to make a run to the gas station, and he jogged out to the car wagging his tail and stood at the door! He hopped right in and after about 5 min, laid right down. When I went into the station to pay, he waited quietly at the window and laid back down when I got back! Camper is such a good boy." Camper did so well in a home environment that his Fling Family decided to foster him until he is adopted!
