Story
My boy’s name is Boogie, got him at four weeks. Cared and Love him to the fullest. Raised him inside my bedroom. Well trained indoors/outdoors/every where/anywhere.Trained to walk besides you and sit before crossing every street along side you and won’t pull. Fetches and brings you any toy. Doesn’t bark, great with kid, friends, other pets and family members. Cool calm and collective. Naps a lot, super chill. Promise one of a kind of Dog/Soul. Doesn’t bite, tear, bug Anything. Worked him out early on. Semi fit now, fed him great, lately poor. But through the Good and the WORST, he is a true, “Love! Caring! Warm heart! Friend!!” 😖😫😭 I recently had a work injury and I’m having all kinds of surgeries haven’t worked and had to move into a bedroom. As much as I would love to keep him, I felt the sadness in him. So he needs a fresh start and attention. Someone to love and protect him with the up MOST LOVE/CARE. Great in cars, camping, hiking, parks and or being a at home couch potato!

Story
This silly lovable goof was found as a puppy on the freeway along with a litter mate. They were taken to a county shelter and the other pup was quickly adopted while Chip waited. He was struggling in the shelter so the family who found him, adopted him, out of fear he would be euthanized in the shelter. They knew that was not a long-term solution so they reached out to us for help. Chip is still very much a puppy even though he is a year and a half. We are working with him on his leash manners and basic commands. He is all puppy and quite strong so he will need a patient adopter who can help him with all things puppy. We have discovered we think he will do best as an only dog. You can see more videos of Chip on our Instagram page @thebrittanyfoundation. Because we require visits here to our rescue and in-person home checks, adoptions are limited to the Los Angeles, CA area.

Story
Ugh THAT face and those little dancing paws! Lola is the absolute best. This girl hasn’t had it easy but she’s doing amazingly and we are ready to find her happily ever after. We rescued Lola after a Good Samaritan took charge of her faith and brought her to us. Lola was left in a backyard for months to fend for her self and then was going to be put to sleep out of convenience, we don’t imagine she had much of life prior to that either given the shape she was in but her sweet soul and loving personality doesn’t seem to be affected. She is now healthy and at a good weight, completely healed from her pyometra surgery. She seems to like other dogs and lived with a medium size pup, but we do require a meet and greet in the home with any dogs. We aren’t sure about cats at this time but would be willing to test her if a cat family was interested. She is good with kids. She’s about 5 years old. Please text 661-839-2200 if interested.

Story
Tiger and Roxy are beautiful American Bulldog and Catahoula mixes. Tiger is 3.5 years old, Roxy is three. Tiger is hearing. Roxy is deaf. They are a bonded pair. Tiger is blue merle with one blue eye. Roxy is red merle with one blue eye. They are really unusual looking dogs. The merle in their coats comes from being crossed with Catahoula. I love this breed combo...Ambulls make great family pets and Catahoulas can be really hilarious. And these two are true to their breed mix. I cannot walk past them without smiling. They were surrendered to a high kill shelter together because their landlord made the owners give up their dogs. Both dogs were intact, and were barking when they were alone all day. (Roxy was in heat, which is what caused the frustration barking....they are actually pretty quiet dogs) They both weigh in at about 80-90 pounds, even after some slimming down, they are big dogs. They were indoor couch potatoes. They are both extremely affectionate dogs, and love to be with people. They are a little shy at first, as they haven't had a lot of socialization. It takes them about five minutes to know they are safe, and let the kisses begin. Everywhere they go, people point at them because they are such handsome and unique looking dogs. We absolutely will not entertain breaking up this highly bonded pair. They must be adopted together. We were told that Tiger was dog aggressive. He isn't. He can be barky protective if he thinks Roxy is threatened, and we've never seen as much as a growl from him. They should be adopted as the only two dogs in the home, please. They will be a lot happier. I can't articulate how incredibly nice these dogs are. They are a very special pair, unique in looks, overflowing with sweetness of temperament. They are like two little cartoon characters that live to make their people smile....and they sure do.  If you think you're the right lucky family to give these two a lifetime of love and security, please come and meet them, and prepare to fall in love. They are amazing. To meet Tiger and Roxy, please complete our online application for adoption: www.deafdogrescueofamerica.org/adoption-application.html   Please note that we are unable to respond to inquiries, emails or phone calls. Our adoption process starts with completion/submission of an application for adoption. All applications are reviewed as quickly as we can, and our adoption process is not first come, first served. We select our adoptive homes according to what our dogs/puppies require. If you are selected as an appropriate match, you will be contacted to set an appointment to visit the Ranch and meet Tiger and Roxy.  November 3, 2024, 12:20 am

Story
Huckleberry is a sweet, gentle giant of a dog. Weighing in at 73 pounds, he is housebroken, good on the leash, and not a big barker. Huckleberry has a great appetite and loves both food and treats. Nine-year-old Huckleberry is in excellent health, per his blood test and checkup. He gets along with all dogs, large and small, but cats are a No-No! Huckleberry is very friendly and loves people. He would be a great family dog. His favorite pastimes are taking walks, sniffing around the yard, and chewing on Nylabones. We believe Huckleberry would do well either as the only dog or with a pack. Could he be the dog for you?
