Jaeger is a large, very strong American bulldog / pit mix who is super obedient, playful, and affectionate. Although we have trained him to ignore livestock on the property where he is currently homed, he has shown “gamey” tendencies towards horses and pigs and would probably not be well suited to a farm with livestock. He has not shown any dog aggression thus far, but would not be a good candidate for the dog park or living with another strong male dog. Jaeger loves to run and would be good on the leash with a cyclist. He would also likely be excellent with kids. My foster family says that I "have an infinite amount of love to give to my favorite humans. Belly rubs, toys, and naps are a few of my favorite things. As much as I love relaxation, I do still enjoy walks, playtime, and adventures as well. I would prefer to go to a home where I am the only animal, so that I can soak up ALL of your attention! I was dumped on the streets by awful humans where I tried my best to survive by eating trash, dodging cars and staying away from any and all people cause they have not been to kind to me! Someone managed to grab me and took me to the already overfilled pound-what else could they do-they couldn't keep me. Its SO FULL there due to despicable humans who keep breeding us, giving up on us and dumping us that they are putting 2 doggos in a kennel and it's so INCREDIBLY STRESSFUL there that fights break out and I got attacked by two different dogs due to the stress, you ever been to a pound? Heddo! My name is Cade, and I’m an American Bulldog. I am three years old. I was rescued by Samson's Sanctuary after I was dumped out of a car in Azusa, CA. I may be a big guy, but I have a big heart full of love to give. I love nothing more than to sprawl out on the couch, flip over and let my belly be exposed to the world. It's my favorite position to sleep in, and it shows how comfortable and relaxed I am in my home. Because of my past, I’m a bit cautious around men. I'm more comfortable at first if a female is around too. It's not that I don't like men, I just need time to warm up to them. Once I trust you, though, I will love you fiercely and never forget you. Oh boy, do I love adventures! I'm always up for a good hike in the great outdoors. I love to be in water! There's so much to explore and so many new smells to sniff. I love getting my nose into everything and finding out what's around the next corner. When I'm out hiking, I like to take my time and really soak it all in. I’m independent but I do love spending time together, I prefer my people to be home with me but I don’t need to be in the same room with you always. I will rest my big head on your lap occasionally and I will sit in your lap for butt scratches. I prefer to be pet on my back until I trust you and then you can touch my head. I get along great with other dogs my size and smaller as long as they are friendly, but I do like to chase cats, so we probably wouldn’t be the best roommates. I’d be great in a home with older kids due to my size. One thing you should know about me is that I'm food motivated. If you've got a tasty treat for me, I'll do just about anything you ask and I will drool to prove it. And if someone comes to the door, I'll be sure to let you know. I'm a great guard dog and always on alert. I LOVE squeaky toys and tug of war. I’m also very fond of BONES and frozen tasty treats. I’ve been in foster care for almost a year! But, my foster mom and trainer work hard on teaching me new skills and giving me structure and boundaries. I walk with a loose leash, I am muzzle trained, I know multiple commands and will work for food. I don’t mean to brag but I am extremely smart and learn very quickly! I need mental stimulation and a good amount of space for my zoomies. I even have my own social media @CadeTheBulldog ! Check out all my awesome adventures! All I really want is a caring and patient family who will love me for who I am and take me on all sorts of adventures, even better if you have previous American Bulldog experience.

Pickles was surprisingly found stray, such a beautiful, kind boy to be lost in the streets of LA. He is magnificent, photos do not to him justice. Fortunately a wonderful rescuer got him to safety and we are now looking for the best fit home for him. He is a calm, cool, collected 6 year old fellow, and at 65 lbs, he does very well on leash with an experienced large dog walker. He loves to run (the Husky in him). Pickles is extremely food motivated which is great for additional training. Pickles’ best fit home will be one where he has a safely fenced, private outdoor area, with an active family for walks, hikes, adventures. An apartment or condo is not out of the question if the people are ready to take him out for regular walks, which he thoroughly enjoys. He would be a great dog for a one on one relationship with a person, and a home with another dog is fine with good introduction. Bigger kids preferred, because of his size and strength. Pickles is a great boy and is ready for his perfect forever home. Please note that we are currently set up to adopt within the Los Angeles county area.

THIS IS A GUEST POST: MEET RALPHIE! This VERY affectionate boy is 5 yrs but has happy pup energy. Ralphie is silly, with a comedic flair, and will keep you smiling. He is a bright, dialed-in boy and learns commands quickly....and loves to play. Sadly, due to her own medical emergency, Ralphie's human could no longer care for him. However, Ralphie adjusted quickly to his temporary foster and is in great spirits. Ralphie's ideal new person would be active, enjoying walks, hikes, or runs...because Ralphie thinks those are loads of fun. Ralphie has had dog friends and, while he would ideally prefer to be the only dog in the home, can live with another dog with the right introduction and personality. Ralphie can be reactive on leash but is learning there is no need for that. He is house trained and crate trained, and likes doing the things he is asked to do. Please do not hurt his feelings and tell Ralphie he is not a Chihuahua because he thinks he can fit nicely on your lap. Older/bigger kids (12+) in the home would be okay due to his size (70 lbs) and puppy energy. No cats.
