Story
Tiger and Roxy are beautiful American Bulldog and Catahoula mixes. Tiger is 3.5 years old, Roxy is three. Tiger is hearing. Roxy is deaf. They are a bonded pair. Tiger is blue merle with one blue eye. Roxy is red merle with one blue eye. They are really unusual looking dogs. The merle in their coats comes from being crossed with Catahoula. I love this breed combo...Ambulls make great family pets and Catahoulas can be really hilarious. And these two are true to their breed mix. I cannot walk past them without smiling. They were surrendered to a high kill shelter together because their landlord made the owners give up their dogs. Both dogs were intact, and were barking when they were alone all day. (Roxy was in heat, which is what caused the frustration barking....they are actually pretty quiet dogs) They both weigh in at about 80-90 pounds, even after some slimming down, they are big dogs. They were indoor couch potatoes. They are both extremely affectionate dogs, and love to be with people. They are a little shy at first, as they haven't had a lot of socialization. It takes them about five minutes to know they are safe, and let the kisses begin. Everywhere they go, people point at them because they are such handsome and unique looking dogs. We absolutely will not entertain breaking up this highly bonded pair. They must be adopted together. We were told that Tiger was dog aggressive. He isn't. He can be barky protective if he thinks Roxy is threatened, and we've never seen as much as a growl from him. They should be adopted as the only two dogs in the home, please. They will be a lot happier. I can't articulate how incredibly nice these dogs are. They are a very special pair, unique in looks, overflowing with sweetness of temperament. They are like two little cartoon characters that live to make their people smile....and they sure do.  If you think you're the right lucky family to give these two a lifetime of love and security, please come and meet them, and prepare to fall in love. They are amazing. To meet Tiger and Roxy, please complete our online application for adoption: www.deafdogrescueofamerica.org/adoption-application.html   Please note that we are unable to respond to inquiries, emails or phone calls. Our adoption process starts with completion/submission of an application for adoption. All applications are reviewed as quickly as we can, and our adoption process is not first come, first served. We select our adoptive homes according to what our dogs/puppies require. If you are selected as an appropriate match, you will be contacted to set an appointment to visit the Ranch and meet Tiger and Roxy.  November 3, 2024, 12:20 am

Story
This silly lovable goof was found as a puppy on the freeway along with a litter mate. They were taken to a county shelter and the other pup was quickly adopted while Chip waited. He was struggling in the shelter so the family who found him, adopted him, out of fear he would be euthanized in the shelter. They knew that was not a long-term solution so they reached out to us for help. Chip is still very much a puppy even though he is a year and a half. We are working with him on his leash manners and basic commands. He is all puppy and quite strong so he will need a patient adopter who can help him with all things puppy. We have discovered we think he will do best as an only dog. You can see more videos of Chip on our Instagram page @thebrittanyfoundation. Because we require visits here to our rescue and in-person home checks, adoptions are limited to the Los Angeles, CA area.

Story
URGENT FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED. ALL EXPENSES INCLUDING FOOD AND MEDICAL PAID TO FOSTER. Betty is a 2-year-old American Bulldog/ English Bulldog mix with a heart of gold and an unbreakable spirit. Despite a traumatic start—she was abandoned by a backyard breeder after having her ears cruelly cut with scissors and a recent litter—Betty is the happiest, most loving girl you’ll ever meet. At 55-60lbs, she’s playful, gentle, and adores kids and other dogs. Betty is eager to learn, house-trained, and full of joy despite everything she’s endured. She’s ready to leave her painful past behind and bring endless love and light to her forever family. She is healthy, spayed, house trained, current on all vaccines, and microchipped. Adoption only open to Southern California residents. We do not adopt out to households with children under 10 years old. An application needs to be filled out prior to meeting any of our dogs. An application can be obtained on our website http://www.deathrowdogsrescue.com

Story
Rosie is 4.5 years old. She’s very sweet but also very nervous. She deems herself the alpha dog. She doesn’t like to take walks but loves running around the backyard. She is afraid of the bath, the vacuum, and pees when she is scared. Her life has been very safe and comfortable and she still hasn’t broken these habits. However, she adores children and is a great guard dog. She listens to basic commands including “sit” and “stop barking”. She is good with dogs who are calm and not territorial.

Story
At 6 years old, this handsome bulldog mix is the perfect blend of playful spirit and loyal companion. He’s got a big personality, a goofy sense of humor, and a wonky tail wag that could melt any heart. Tennis balls are his absolute favorite—he’ll happily play fetch until your arm gets tired (don’t worry, he’s got plenty of energy to keep going!). Strong and athletic, he’d thrive in a home that can keep up with his enthusiasm for life. Because of his size and strength, he’d do best with older kids who can match his energy. He’s also a social pup, getting along great with other dogs, and his silly antics are sure to keep you laughing every day. If you’re looking for a dog who will fill your home with joy, fun, and unconditional love, Hobbs is ready to meet you!   Thank you for wanting to adopt from Hank's Legacy Foundation. Story
Barkley is a fantastic puppy. I haven’t seen any signs of fear toward people—in fact, I see very little fear at all. He seems to be a stable, confident, and balanced little guy. I haven’t noticed any separation anxiety outside the normal scope for a young puppy. He may whine a bit in the crate, but he settles quickly and recovers well. It’s not excessive and well within what’s typical for his age. Barkley is very patient during training. He follows a lure beautifully, and it’s easy to shape new behaviors with him. We’re currently working on marker words and leash skills, and he’s picking up the concepts quickly. This is going to be an easy dog to train. He’s also very neutral to loud noises and environmental stimuli, which is a great trait in a puppy. His energy level is mild—not over the top—which makes him a really enjoyable companion. Barkley’s going to make a wonderful dog for just about anyone Thank you for wanting to adopt from Hank's Legacy Foundation.
