Very sweet, loving and lazy! Just loves to sleep and get belly rubs. Has been raised with kids and male dogs. Would do best without homes with dominant females. Must rehome immediately due to unforeseen family emergency.

Story
Hi! I'm Rizzo, a very sweet, loving, happy girl! I love to go on trips and walks.  I love Benebones and stuffy toys. I love to play catch, and cuddle with my PEOPLE! Did I tell you people are my most favorite? I am good being left loose in the house, but I prefer to not be left alone for long periods of time. Please don't leave me outside, I can be in a crate or left out in the house if you leave. I have amazing jumping skills and can scale a fence so you can not leave me alone outside because I get bored.  Rizzo loves people and is great being the only pet and getting all the attention.  She has been through professional training and did great!   Rizzo is a 5-year-old, 65 lb, American Bulldog/Pit Bull mix looking for her forever family. She is UTD, spayed, microchipped, house trained, and is good to walk on leash. Rizzo is medium energy and would love a family to cuddle and go on adventures with. She is great with kids but would prefer older kids.  Rizzo does not like small dogs or cats, so she can never have access to them.   Adoption requirements are as such: Not a first time dog owner  If a fenced in yard, willingness to not leave her outside alone as she can jump fences  No kids under 6 due to size No cats or small dogs If another dog, a medium sized confident non-dominant dog  Please note, Rizzo is part of Happy Trails Animal Rescue’s rehoming program. Information provided is based on their current guardian’s statements and limited interaction with volunteers. They are not under the care of the rescue. They are under the care of their current guardian. The owner is subject to placement outside of our organization. We cannot guarantee availability.   Adoption fee REDUCED: $75 ##1427199##

Story
***Velcro is a courtesy listing. Please submit an application and we will put you directly in touch with his caretakers. Any meet and greets and adoptions will be handled directly by them.*** Meet Velcro! This 1.5-year-old weighs 65 lbs. This adventurous, athletic, affectionate guy is quite the social butterfly. He’ll greet you every day with an enthusiastic “wiggle butt” and a goofy grin. General Behavior: Velcro would love to be with his human all day but he will also settle well in his bed with his Kong Wubba. He loves going for walks but can be a little nervous about new loud noises, but with encouragement he finds confidence to succeed.   Likes & Dislikes: Velcro is an energetic guy who loves toys—the more, the merrier! Training: Velcro is a smart cookie. He is housetrained, walks well on the leash, is a good passenger in the car, and generally has good basic manners. Medical: Velcro is a healthy boy! He just needs his monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. Other Animals: Velcro has a lot of energy and would love to play with other dogs who can match his energy in a neutral manner. He has not been observed around cats, but his caretakers don’t think that they would get along. Children: Velcro hasn’t been observed around children yet. Home: This easy-going guy would be best suited in a single-family home given his size and possible concern with association breed restrictions.  Grooming: As a short-haired dog, Velcro doesn’t have any elaborate grooming needs. Overall: An active family is going to be very lucky to get this adventurous, resilient, quiet, curious, silly guy to share your lives? Velcro is a courtesy listing. Please submit an application and we will put you directly in touch with his caretakers. Any meet and greets and adoptions will be handled directly by them. He is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. ##2163031##

Story
Hi, I’m Groot! I'm a 4-year-old, 62-lb American Bulldog blend. Like my Marvel namesake, I'm a gentle giant who just wants to find a great family who will love me forever.  General Behavior: Groot is the sweetest, most loving and devoted soul who will always be a puppy at heart. Likes & Dislikes: Groot loves a car ride! He also loves his special, durable toys (not just any toys). By contrast, Groot dislikes loud noises, such as thunder or fireworks. If he is on a walk with a leash and all of a sudden there's a loud noise, he will get startled and pull on the leash . Training: Groot has the makings of a very good boy! He is housetrained if let out regularly. He still needs more practice leash walking, but he is a good passenger in the car and he sleeps in a dog bed at night. Gadgets, toys, and any other objects should never be left lying within his reach: those need to be tidied away with Groot around. Medical: Groot is a healthy guy and simply requires his monthly heartworm and flea prevention. As for his unique appearance, we did take Groot for a visit with a dermatologist and they suspect that maybe someone dumped something toxic/chemical on him in his past - his appearance is purely cosmetic and not allergy related. It doesn't bother him a bit. Other Animals: Groot is good with other dogs: playful or calm, he loves them all! He is even good with cats. Children: Groot has not been observed around children. However, he might try to play with/eat children's toys, so he would probably do best in a home without children. Home: Groot's ideal home is a single family home with a securely fenced yard because he has high anxiety whenever there are thunderstorms and fireworks! He will bark non stop. He is also nervous of loud noises while out leash walking, so he would benefit from a secure yard where he could exercise. Grooming:  Groot doesn't require any elaborate grooms, just regular baths and nail trims. He isn't a fan of bathtubs so a big walk-in shower or even an outside bath on warm days suits him just fine.  Overall: Groot is an amazing dog who is looking for a very special family who will love him just the way he is. Do you want to say "We are Groot...'s family"? Then visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with the foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. He is up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. His adoption donation is $275. ##1884496##
