Story
We found Khloe tied behind a restaurant with severe skin, ear, bladder, uti infections and an ulcer in her eye. She was used as a breeder. We have put so much love and care into getting her better. She has also been spayed. We have treated and resolved all her other issues. She is a sweet sweet girl and as much as we would love to keep her, we already own 4 other dogs. She needs a forever home to just give her time and TLC to let her skin continue to heal. We ask for someone to just love her as she wants nothing more.

Story
I found Khloe chained behind a restaurant living in her own filth. I immediately took her to my vet and had her treated for her ear, bladder, UTI, skin and ulcer in her right eye. I had her spayed as she has been used as a “breeder” her whole life. She loves my young male Frenchie, children and people in general. Her skin was so severe that I needed to give her medicated baths every other day. She is slowly getting better when it comes to her dry skin and feet. She just needs someone with a little patience and to give her TLC. She is a wonderful and happy dog and I would love to keep her but I already have 4 other dogs. I have treated and fixed all of her issues so she can live a happy and healthy life. She is looking for a forever home and will make a great companion to someone.

Story
Donnie and Marie arrived at Satchel’s Last Resort after being pulled from animal services, carrying with them a past we can only guess was deeply painful. Their bodies told a story their voices couldn’t—both were emaciated, crawling with internal and external parasites, and suffering from severely neglected skin. It was clear they had endured far more than any dog should. But in the middle of all that hardship, Donnie and Marie shined. From the moment they came through our doors, their tails wagged with a quiet, hopeful joy. Their eyes, though tired, lit up every time someone knelt down to say hello. Despite the tremendous neglect they had experienced, both dogs greeted the world with sweetness, trust, and a contagious happiness that spread to everyone who met them. What’s even more remarkable is how much they adore other dogs and people. Their resilient spirits seem to remind us all that love can outgrow even the hardest beginnings. Donnie and Marie don’t dwell on what happened to them—they’re too busy embracing every soft bed, every gentle touch, and every new friend with open hearts. Today, they are safe, healing, and learning what it means to be cherished. And in return, they brighten our days with the kind of joy only the bravest souls can give. They have, obviously, endured a lot together. While they would be thrilled to remain a pair, we truly believe each would adapt well to a separate home if it meant finding the right match. What matters most is that they both get the chance they deserve—to be loved, protected, and valued. Donnie and Marie have so much affection to give, and each one would make a remarkable companion for a family ready to open their heart. Recent bloodwork shows they both have heartworm disease and they will soon be starting treatment. They'd love to be in a loving foster home for the 3 months required calm time. From a volunteer about Donnie: No words other than pure goodness, angel with a constant WAGGING tail, and 100% love comes from this amazing gentleman. His tail never stopped wagging . EVER He doesn't know a Stranger and has so much love ❤️ to give back despite his physical appearance from neglect and cruelty. He has an eye infection which we are currently medicating with the hopes full vision will return . He wants to make you smile instantly w his friendly personality .

From a volunteer: Grab a Kleenex and get ready y'all... Other words that describe petite Marie other than angel, pure love ❤️, sweet soul, beyond gentle natured and loving !!! I immediately wanted to cry BUT she kissed my sadness away . She's all tail wags, despite her physical scars, missing hair and neglect beyond my comprehension. As a volunteer who lives and breaths helping shelter dogs I commend satchels for saving Marie and her darling bonded half Donnie!!!

Story
Daisy is a 6 year old lilac tri-color English Bulldog and weighs in at about 62 pounds. She loves attention of any kind. She is very sweet and just wants to be with her person, whether that is sitting next to you, sitting on your lap or sleeping with you. She likes chewing toys, playing fetch, getting treats, going for short walks and nap time. She will jump up on people when excited, so little children must be warned of this. She is in good health and has no allergies. Daisy grew up with another dog in the home but we feel like she would be better as a single dog because she needs to have all the attention all the time. She has been house-trained and crate trained. Bulldogs are a lot of work and their care is not inexpensive. An experienced bulldog owner or good knowledge of the breed would be needed. Daisy is a pure bred and she comes with her papers.
