Story
Marcus is a 7 year old bulloxer. He is the sweetest boy that just wants to share his love. He is energetic with a funny personality. He loves to play fetch, tug-o-war and cuddle. He loves going for walks, is excellent on a leash, and is very good traveling in a car. Someone with a backyard would be ideal. Marcus is very loved. He is well taken care of. I have another dog that is now a senior with joint issues. His higher energy is causing stress in my home. He wants to play all the time and be given all the attention. My older dog is getting snippy/lunging at him. I’m afraid she will lose patience. Due to time, life changes and my senior dog, I no longer feel I can give Marcus the love and attention he so much deserves. I love Marcus very much, it breaks my heart but I truly feel he will be better off with a family who can give him the time, love and patience he needs. He is not destructive, can be left alone uncrated for 8/9 hours. All supplies included, fee is only to deter abusers

Story
Donnie and Marie arrived at Satchel’s Last Resort after being pulled from animal services, carrying with them a past we can only guess was deeply painful. Their bodies told a story their voices couldn’t—both were emaciated, crawling with internal and external parasites, and suffering from severely neglected skin. It was clear they had endured far more than any dog should. But in the middle of all that hardship, Donnie and Marie shined. From the moment they came through our doors, their tails wagged with a quiet, hopeful joy. Their eyes, though tired, lit up every time someone knelt down to say hello. Despite the tremendous neglect they had experienced, both dogs greeted the world with sweetness, trust, and a contagious happiness that spread to everyone who met them. What’s even more remarkable is how much they adore other dogs and people. Their resilient spirits seem to remind us all that love can outgrow even the hardest beginnings. Donnie and Marie don’t dwell on what happened to them—they’re too busy embracing every soft bed, every gentle touch, and every new friend with open hearts. Today, they are safe, healing, and learning what it means to be cherished. And in return, they brighten our days with the kind of joy only the bravest souls can give. They have, obviously, endured a lot together. While they would be thrilled to remain a pair, we truly believe each would adapt well to a separate home if it meant finding the right match. What matters most is that they both get the chance they deserve—to be loved, protected, and valued. Donnie and Marie have so much affection to give, and each one would make a remarkable companion for a family ready to open their heart. Recent bloodwork shows they both have heartworm disease and they will soon be starting treatment. They'd love to be in a loving foster home for the 3 months required calm time. From a volunteer about Donnie: No words other than pure goodness, angel with a constant WAGGING tail, and 100% love comes from this amazing gentleman. His tail never stopped wagging . EVER He doesn't know a Stranger and has so much love ❤️ to give back despite his physical appearance from neglect and cruelty. He has an eye infection which we are currently medicating with the hopes full vision will return . He wants to make you smile instantly w his friendly personality .

From a volunteer: Grab a Kleenex and get ready y'all... Other words that describe petite Marie other than angel, pure love ❤️, sweet soul, beyond gentle natured and loving !!! I immediately wanted to cry BUT she kissed my sadness away . She's all tail wags, despite her physical scars, missing hair and neglect beyond my comprehension. As a volunteer who lives and breaths helping shelter dogs I commend satchels for saving Marie and her darling bonded half Donnie!!!

Story
⭐⭐⭐ EVANGELINE ⭐⭐⭐ Evangeline is a Miami-Dade Animal Shelter survivor who was once on the euthanasia list—and now she’s thriving and looking for her forever family 💕 When we rescued Evangeline, we thought she just had a cold and needed antibiotics 👍 Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case 😞 She was diagnosed with canine COVID and pneumonia and spent several weeks fighting for her life at Coral Springs Animal Hospital. After being released, Evangeline went to a foster home that didn’t work out, so she moved into home boarding where she was finally able to decompress, heal, and feel safe again 🙏 We then had her spayed, but complications arose when she began bleeding and clotting, which had us extremely worried once more 😢 But Evangeline is a fighter. Like the champ she is, she pushed through every obstacle—and came out stronger 💪 Today, she’s healthy, happy, and living proof of resilience 🥰 Just look at this chunky monkey getting excited for one of her favorite destinations… McDonald’s 😋😋😋 Evangeline is playful, joyful, and full of life! She’s a total foodie, so snacks, snuffle mats, enrichment toys, and food adventures are a MUST 😂 Evangeline is approximately 70 pounds and about 5 years old.
