Story
Hi, I'm Regular Sized Rudy! I love long walks and can play from sun up to sun down, or nap for 8 straight hours if you want to have lazy day! I'm a big snuggler and if you give me the chance, I WILL fall asleep on top of you. I'm very well-behaved, hardly bark, house-trained, and can sit, stay and lay down like a champ. I can be a little wary of new people and new dogs so it's best to introduce me slowly and make sure I know from your tone and body language that we're safe! I'm the type of dog who loves toys and treats but I promise I won't chew up your stuff!! Although I love cute little stuffed toys, I do much better with tougher toys and bones I can chew on for a long time! If you can give me love, attention and a little bit of patience, I know I could be the perfect dog for you!!

Story
Roxie is a young lady who is so ready to please her people. Her start in life was horrific as her owner chained her at 3 months old. She was pretty much ignored but has now proved to her foster mom she has so much to offer and is willing to please. She is learning basic manners. She is currently fostered with 4 other adult Pitties. Please consider giving this young lady the life she deserves.

Story
Let’s play! Meet the marvelous Ms. Meka; a female American Bulldog mix with a disposition as sunny as her smile. This is one happy dog that enjoys being around people. A stocky medium-sized dog, she was born January 2017 and weighs around 46 pounds. Energetic and enthusiastic, Meka is best suited for a dog-savvy active adult. She is not aggressive but can easily knock over children when she greets them. Her rambunctious play-style is too rough from most dogs and would do best as the only pet in the home. Meka loves outdoor activities and will play fetch for hours. She travels well and would make a great trail buddy. She’s also a big fan of water and enjoys taking a quick dip in a pool or lake. Meka is a well-behaved girl in the home and already housebroken. A home with a large fenced in yard would be ideal. No worries about chewed up furniture or shoes with this girl. If she misbehaves, a stern voice is usually all the correction she needs. She is eager to please and very smart. Come meet this amazing dog!To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Due to the high volume of applications received, our Adoption Coordinator will only contact the applicant that best meets the needs of the pet.

Story
Currently located in: Winterport, ME Adoptable in: All continental 48 United States (transport is available anywhere!) Good with dogs: Yes! As always, slow introductions are needed. Good with cats: No, she doesn't understand what cats are. Good with kids: Yes, as always adult supervision is always required when kids are present! House trained: Yes! She will just need time to adjust to your routine! Crate trained: Yes! She loves her crate! Please Note: We are quick (usually 3-5 days to be fully approved!) to respond to applications and complete the adoption approval process. Please only apply if you are ready to take home your new pet quickly. Meet Tia! Tia is an approximately 1-2 year old American Bulldog/Lab mix pup. She was found roaming the streets and was brought to a very high kill shelter in GA. Tia was used for breeding and her last litter of puppies were sold off at 3-4 weeks old. Tia came to the shelter, full of milk that was hardening up, she was severely underweight and full of worms. She also had sores all over her body. This poor baby was severely neglected. Her time was up at the shelter and she was set to be euthanized when Whiskers Fund stepped in to save her beautiful soul. Now that Tia is back to being healthy, she is starting to show us her personality. Tia is VERY smart. She knows lots of commands like sit, stay, beg, load up and she is easy to train. This girl is pretty much perfect. She does very well in the car.... as long as she is NOT crated in the car. She will let you know her displeasure of being crated in the car and would prefer to ride shotgun or at least in the back seat- I mean who can blame her! Tia has shown a bit of separation anxiety, but that has gotten better since she has left the shelter and we believe will continue to improve as she settles into her forever home. Tia has a fair amount of energy and she really just wants to do whatever you are doing. If you are playing, she wants to play, if you are hanging and watching TV, well she is hanging and watching TV with you. Tia really just wants to always be with you, whether you are headed out on an adventure or staying home and cuddling up on the couch or in bed - so if you’re not into dogs on the fur-niture, she might not be the dog for you. If you think you are the right match for her, please apply to adopt here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScq8ShXPVGLfrGHlIYMk0plgI_PJxOEMdr8QItpQMXYCnluvg/view-form The adoption fee is $550. All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their furever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped! Please Note: All animals are posted until they are officially adopted. This animal may have other interested adopters in line. We are very quick to respond and process applications! You will be required to provide 2 non family personal references, a home video tour and a vet reference if you’ve previously had animals. Please feel free to send video to our email or facebook upon submitting an application, this lets us know you are serious and ready but also helps us to get you approved quickly. We will text and or call upon receiving your application to schedule a phone interview. You must be an approved adopter in order to go on meet and greets. This saves everyone’s time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose. Interested in fostering? We would love to have you join our family! Fill out the same application above- we have our fosters go through the same process as adopters! Questions? Please email whiskersfunds@gmail.com or message us on facebook! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet GINGER this girl is stunning!!!! She was born into our rescue and adopted as a puppy; unfortunately, her mom passed away, and family members tried to keep ginger, but there were issues with another dog in the home and ginger, and it felt other arrangements needed to be made. While with us, Ginger has been non-reactive to any of the dogs around her; she has not currently been cat tested but did well in her previous home with several other dogs. We feel the best situation for her is a calm male and a proper slow introduction. She is truly a doll with all humans. She has done very well with children. Ginger is currently in boarding, so we are seeking a foster or forever home Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 29, 2023, 12:02 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Miss Priscilla! Hi, my name is Priscilla. I’m a bulldog mix, and although I don’t know my birthday, people estimate I’m about 5 years old. I’ve been told I’m such a gorgeous, fun girl, so I don’t know why I’ve ended up without a home. The ladies at the rescue love me, but I’m looking forward to finding my forever family that I can love! Here are some things about me: I love: playing, giving kisses, having the cutest play stance, taking car rides, and hearing how cute I am at adoption events. I excel at: being house-trained, confident, and calm & relaxed in a crate. Did I mention that I’m adorable and an excellent snuggler? Things I’m working hard on: guarding my food. I haven’t always had consistent meals, so it’s taking me a bit to learn that I will get food regularly. This is an easy fix; you can feed me in my crate or a separate room. Once I’m done eating, I’m back to my loving, cuddly self.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 29, 2023, 12:02 am
