Story
My name is Echo and I was at a kill shelter until I was rescued at 2 years old (Dec 20). I am 5 now. I am a sweet boy & I am DEAF. I love older kids and cuddling. After 3 years of taking great care of me, my mom & dad need to find me a great new home because there is a baby coming, and a move to breed-restricted housing, all happening in the same month. I know hand signals (sit, good boy) and have had professional training, however I still have some challenges with big dogs. I can’t hear them, so they startle me when they come up and I may snap at them. I have lived with a female chihuahua for the last year and have done fine with her, so a home with no dogs or a small dog would be best. I need to be crated when left home alone. I spent some time as an influencer! I did ads for I&love&you pet food, pedigree, and some supplements for itchy skin. My mom feeds me salmon based food so my skin doesn’t get itchy. I will come with a commercial grade crate, bowls, leash, collar, etc.

Story
Meet Marge! Marge is a 4 year old, 53 pound Beagle/Bulldog mix. Are you ready to open your heart to a loving canine companion? Look no further, because Marge is here! Marge has had quite a journey, being a brave survivor of a puppy mill. Despite her challenging past, she has shown incredible strength and resilience, making her an inspiring pup with so much love to give. Marge is an incredibly sweet and gentle soul. She doesn't know a person she doesn't already love! She adores cuddles, belly rubs, and gentle playtime. Marge gets along well with other dogs and loves to play and wrestle with all her foster siblings. She would also be a wonderful addition to a home with older, considerate children who can understand her background and provide her with the patience she needs. She will require a physically fenced in yard. She's not a high-energy pup, but she does have a mischievous streak and will find weaknesses in any fence. She really really really loves staying in the backyard soaking up all the sun she can, and enjoys leisurely walks on leash (Marge has great leash manners)! Are you ready to be the hero in Marge's happily-ever-after story? Adopt Marge today, and together, you can write a new chapter filled with love, hope, and endless tail wags! Marge is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $450. Marge is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Thor! Thor is a 3 year-old Bulldog/pit mix who loves adventure! He want to be going somewhere and doing something with his people! He is very smart and pays close attention to his surrounding. He would thrive in a home that wants to teach him new tricks and take him new places! He is still learning to stay calm when he sees something that excites him, and will need continued training for this. Thor is a very friendly, playful pup, but does seem to prefer female pups. We always recommend a meet n greet with your current dog to ensure that they are a good match! He may be too energetic for small children, so he should be in a home with older children only. He has been around cats and doesn't seem to be bothered by them. He does love to cuddle and loves affection. He also loves going on walks and playing ball and does very well in the car. He can be easily distracted though, and will often bark at people or animals when he's looking out the window. Thor is working on crate training, which is a slow introduction to being in the crate when his people are home, leaving the door open with things that he loves inside, so that he sees the crate is a good safe place for him. He is potty trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. Exercise is important for Thor, as he loves to be doing something, with both his mind and body! He has a moderate to high activity level, so he needs 1-3 hours of moderate activity, like walking or playing ball, or 1-2 hours of high activity, like jogging, running and learning. Thor needs a fenced yard where he can run and play safely. If you think Thor would be the perfect pup for you, please fill out an application by clicking on the below link https://www.coopersafeplace.org/application-page Thor's adoption fee is $200 and due on the day of adoption.

Story
Meet Merlot.  This sweet girl is a 3yr old bulldog mix whose journey has had some bumps along the way.  She was helped out by a local police department and made her way to her foster home, after having been found on the streets while very pregnant.  Merlot soon gave birth to 11, yes 11, puppies known as the Wine Flight Litter.   After having been a devoted momma to all her babies, this loving gal is ready to be pampered herself.    She is a laid back girl who doesn’t mind her foster family and their shenanigans in dressing her up in cute clothes.  She’s crate and potty trained, good on leash, loves to go for car rides and a big fan of being spoiled with treats and yummy wet food.  If you are ready for a loving and deserving gal to join your family, please apply for her today. Merlot is spayed, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines and microchipped.  All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   March 1, 2024, 7:42 pm
