- Busy pup who loves to connect with people through play and other activities; will likely enjoy physical activity and mental challenges to keep his mind and body busy- Likes toys, including giggle balls, Nylabones and other toys he can chew - Loves to give kisses - Enjoys going on walks and does best with a harness- Doesn't always understand how big he is and could use some work on his manners right now, but he is treat-motivated and would be an excellent fit for positive reinforcement-based training classes - Tends to be a linebacker-type player with other dogs; will likely do best with a select group of rough-and-tumble dog friends with a similar play style (dog intro required) - May be a bit much for young children right now and would likely do best in a home where all family members are big enough and mature enough to enjoy his energy This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. Chino is a BIG fan of toys and he will make it a personal requirement to always have more at his request. Sometimes a few toys might end up ripped or broken but if you ask Chino, he's not sure how that happens. He is fully potty trained and has done well on walks, even preferring to carry his toys for the entire duration. Big ears, bigger heart, and possibly no idea you’re calling his name (he might be deaf, or he might just have selective hearing — we'll never know). He's a black-and-white patchwork of cuddles, clumsy zoomies, and all the sloppiest kisses you could possibly imagine! This big man is looking for someone who loves long walks (at his pace), belly rubs on demand, and doesn’t mind a little drool every now and then, he loves to play but he might do best as the only dog in the home. if you’ve got treats and patience stop by the shelter and meet Papa Smurf!

MEET FORREST Forrest holds a special place in our hearts! Crawling his paralyzed self to safety only for the public to treat him like he was a problem. He was never the problem! He knew that if he got himself to safety the right people were going to find him and, boy, did he get lucky! Forrest was picked up by a rescuer and brought to the vet for attention. He now has a wheel chair and can cruise all over the place! He is living the best life in his foster home and is SO ready to find a home to call his own where he will be loved and treated how a sweet, kind and happy pup like him should be treated!
