Rupert is an adorable 1 year old mixed breed. We are actually awaiting a DNA to.come back to tell.us his breeds. What we can tell you is he has a lot of puppy energy still, and needs an active family. He does seem to get along with other dogs, but we would want a meet and greet first. Rupert is a low riding, fun loving guy! If you want to make Rupert a part of your family, fill out an application at www.barktownrescue.org RUPERT'S ADOPTION FEE IS $175The shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at the dog's predominant breed or breed mix. We strongly encourage you to select your new pet by looking at each dog's individual personality and pet qualities rather than relying on a breed label that is only our best guess. Our adoption fees vary from $150 and up. All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines, heart worm preventives, and flea/tick medication, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. SWEET AS PIE! Finn is a super cute and very unique Golden Retriever/American Bulldog. He has an unusual brindle and black coat that we have never seen before. He is a one year old puppy who is full of fun. This sweet boy loves his brother and plays with him all day long. Finn is a gentle boy who enjoys being held and getting cuddles. He is very affectionate and longs for his furever home to have someone to give him the love and attention he deserves. Right now he lives on a farm and is used to being around horses, ducks and chickens. He learned very quickly how to sit and is now learning to walk on a leash. He would do well in a home with other dogs and older children. This little boy is already neutered and has a microchip. His adoption includes a collar and training leash as well as two training classes with our trainer for you to learn good leash skills, how to interact with other dogs and people, and how to be a good leader. Cookie is a hyper active loving, goofball. I adopted him from LMAS. He loves playing tug and chewing on his bones. He will tear up any cloth or soft toy in record time so harder chew toys are better. He is crate trained as well as potty trained. He has great potential to learn but I dont have the time to do so before I have to give him up. He is able to sit, leave it, go outside/inside. I've noticed he follows hand queues better than vocal most of the time. He has a grain allergy, I have had him on Pure Balance from walmart. I have 2 children in the home 8 and 12 he does wonderfully with them but has shown aggression toward other dogs unprovoked. Does not do good with cats as well. Please message me if interested. Needs a home with no other pets. He is hesitant of new things still. He is trained not to go into the kitchen, knows when its bedtime (I tell him goodnight), he sleeps in his kennel w/ the door open. He needs a home filled with love, he flourishes and learns quickly!
