Story
Cookie is a hyper active loving, goofball. I adopted him from LMAS. He loves playing tug and chewing on his bones. He will tear up any cloth or soft toy in record time so harder chew toys are better. He is crate trained as well as potty trained. He has great potential to learn but I dont have the time to do so before I have to give him up. He is able to sit, leave it, go outside/inside. I've noticed he follows hand queues better than vocal most of the time. He has a grain allergy, I have had him on Pure Balance from walmart. I have 2 children in the home 8 and 12 he does wonderfully with them but has shown aggression toward other dogs unprovoked. Does not do good with cats as well. Please message me if interested. Needs a home with no other pets. He is hesitant of new things still. He is trained not to go into the kitchen, knows when its bedtime (I tell him goodnight), he sleeps in his kennel w/ the door open. He needs a home filled with love, he flourishes and learns quickly!

This shy guy is Dallas! Dallas is a 1 year old Boxer mix. Dallas is timid, so he needs a patient family and one with another confident dog to show him the way. Dallas would thrive with training to help build his confidence.  If you would like to make Dallas a part of your family, fill out an application at www.barktownrescue.org. DALLAS' ADOPTION FEE IS $175The shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at the dog's predominant breed or breed mix. We strongly encourage you to select your new pet by looking at each dog's individual personality and pet qualities rather than relying on a breed label that is only our best guess.    Our adoption fees vary from $150 and up.  All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines, heart worm preventives, and flea/tick medication, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
