Story
Hi my name is Bandit. I'm just over 2yrs old. I'm loving and cuddly. I've been raised with my uncle a d he's the only dog ive been around. I have 2 young human brothers that I will miss. I do require love lots of it. Not being around other dogs I don't know what my temperament would be.. but I do get a little jealous. I'm still young with so much love to give. Please adopt me.. I do not want to see Bandit go to a shelter it would break both our hearts. He is very loving and a shelter can't give him the love he deserves. Please adopt Bandit

Story
This is Bentley, he's my best friend and I want to make sure he's taken care of. I unfortunately have to put him up for adoption due to a divorce and moving and he won't do well in an apartment. He's a goofball and will do anything for a tennis ball. He loves to be scratched and just be around his humans. His Mom and his human brother are his best buddies so he'd do well with children.

Story
HERE IN CANADA COME MEET HER My granny used to look at my pretty white coat and my soft brown eyes and tell me that I was the diamond in the coal mine. "Never worry, Raye," she'd say, "with a face that pretty there's always going to be a home for you!" I sure hope granny was right, cause boy oh boy! I could use a home about now. I'm looking forward to buckling down and excelling at doggy classes and hopefully making you so proud of me, that you'll never let me go! I need a home without children and without other dogs. Name: Rayse Weight: 60 lbs Age: 3 years Gender: Female Breed: American Bulldog mix Color: White/Brown Good With Adults: People selective Good With Kids: no Good With Other Dogs: Prefers to be the only dog Good With Cats: No, she has high prey drive Housebroken: Yes Crate trained: Yes Energy Level: Medium Can be handled/touched: Yes Barker: some, when she's scared Escape Artist: Yes Food Aggressive: With other dogs Walks on Leash: Pulls Rides well in car: Yes Destructive: no Needs a home with a yard: Yes Needs a home with another dog-Prefers to be the only dog Can live in an apartment: No. Needs a fenced in yard to play in. Foster comments: She barks when she's scared, but as we've been working on her sense of security and confidence, it's happening less and less. For introductions to new adult humans, it's best if it's done outside when she isn't startled by their arrival. She warms up very quickly and is very friendly and playful. Training Update: This girl has come so far in her training and learning to trust people, she is doing basic trainingright now with one of our trainers and is doing great!! Rayse is part of our dog walking group and everyone that takes her on adventures absolutely adore her. When she is in a home she has a few fears but with a patient adopter that will show her leadership she will do very well , Rayse loves to be praised for good behavior and really wants to please . This gir has overcome some really big obstacles in the past few months and is now ready for her happy ending . She would excel in a quite home with lots of love and walks ( she loves the water ) the beach is her favorite. She is on special food which is only 60.00 for a 25lb bag and she is worth it . This girl really deserves her happy tail ending . Come meet her and lets take her for walk and you will see what all of us see!!!

Story
HERE IN CANADA COME MEET HIM Must have bulldog experience Name: Stallone (20210614-02) Weight: 70lbs Age: 4 years Gender: Male Spayed/Neutered: Neutered Breed: American Bulldog/Lab mix Colour: Black/White Neck size (for collar): medium martingale collar Chest circumference (for harness): Height (from top of head): Length (from nose to base of tail): Crate size recommended: 36” Good with women: Yes Good with men: Yes Good with kids: No Good with other dogs: No Good with cats: Lived in a home with cats, but he does chase them, never allowed it to get to the point of interaction. Dog savvy cats might be ok, but likely better in a home without cats House trained: Yes Crate trained: He needs a crate to sleep in and self soothe in. Will go in on his own but runs out if he thinks you'll close the door. Energy level: Moderate. He enjoys daily walks and outside playtime but also enjoys lounging and hanging out. Can be handled/touched: if indoors, only once he’s comfortable, then absolutely enjoys being petted. If he is anxious, he does not like being touched on his head or neck, and he will growl. Best to watch for the warning signs and only pet if he’s okay with it. If he’s outdoors, he appears more confident and is okay with being pet. Barker: He can demand bark at times when he wants to do something such as go outside or when he’s left for an extended period of time. Flight risk: No Food aggressive: No Current food: He will eat any dog food as long as it’s mixed with a little bit of wet food in the start. Slowly start to decrease wet food and he’ll start to eat the dry on its own Walks on leash: needs a front-clip harness, as does not walk well on flat collar. He’s a great walker on a front clip harness. Leash reactive to people or dogs: He gets excited to see people he knows and will bark for their attention. Reactive, no. Rides well in car: Doesn’t love the car. Barks the entire time. He has not had enough time to practice many car rides, so there’s opportunities for improvement Destructive: No. Needs a home with a yard: That would be great but we don’t believe he needs it. He enjoys walks. Needs a home with another dog: no, he should be the only dog Can live in an apartment: No. He is too vocal for an apartment or condo building Some information to note from our experiences: Stallone is incredibly affectionate, playful, and silly. He enjoys playing with toys, people, and other dogs. He was in playgroups with many other dogs and did very well. He did not appreciate a spray bottle being used on another dog and barked/growled at the lead handler in the yard. He did not progress beyond barking/growling. We would recommend training based on rewarding desired behaviors and responding to negative behaviors by removing a wanted thing rather than adding a punishment. Stallone is used to trading toys our behavior coordinator has not noticed any guarding behavior but recommends continuing the swapping/trading method for retrieving toys. Stallone enjoys chew bones, Vienna sausages (as rewards). Updated foster comments: Stallone loves to attach himself to one person and follow you everywhere. He is extremely loving to those he trusts. He'd be ideal for a couple or single person without kids. He walks amazing. He licks a lot and is so excited to see you when you come home. Though very anxious he is not destructive and just lays and waits for you to come home. Only whining for a few minutes. He plays rough with dogs but loves to play. He's a wonderful dog. Kids heighten his anxiety, so he needs a home without small kids. Whoever gets him will get a great dog.

Story
This dog is located in the Niagara region*Apply to adopt at rebeldogrescue.com*All adoptions with Rebel Dog Rescue have a 15 day probation period. Read about our adoption process on our website. Mia came to us as a local owner surrender. She was left at a boarding facility heavily pregnant when her owner couldn't care for her anymore and we were called in to help. Fortunately a foster stepped up just in time, and she gave birth hours after arriving to the safety of the foster home. She raised two beautiful babies, has been spayed, and it is now her time to find her forever family! Mia is just an awesome dog. Mia has a head turning merle coat and stunning eyes, but beyond her looks her has a heart of gold. She is full of so much love and happiness, hasn't met a stranger that she didn't like and wants all the love! Her biggest flaw is that she doesn't know her size, and can be a bit of a bull in a China shop. She will do best with experienced owners who are strong handlers. A home with bully experience would be best for Mia. Mia doesn't have a ton of experience being around other dogs, so she can occasionally be reactive on walks. However it has really only been when her handler allows her to be, meaning that if her handler leads her with confidence she will pay no mind to other dogs on walks. She does well with other dogs her size upon proper introductions and wants to play in the yard when given the opportunity. Small dogs, cats and small animals are a no-go for Mia. This lady will need some ongoing training to reinforce good manners.Name: MiaWeight: ~85lbAge: ~4 years Gender: FemaleBreed: American BullyColour: MerleMedical: No concernsFixed: YesGood with men: YesGood with women: YesGood with kids 0-11: No, doesn't know her size and strengthGood with kids 12+: YesGood with dogs: Yes, with proper intros Good with cats: NoHouse trained: YesCrate trained: YesCrate reactive: NoFood guarding: Yes, she will guard food and high value items form other dogs - none seen with people Walks on a leash: Yes, will pull at times Energy level: MediumRequires detached/single home: NoSkittish/nervous: NoSeparation anxiety: NoBarker: Average

Story
Archie is a handsome almost 4 -year-old pup weighing around 45 to 50 pounds. With his endearing personality and gentle demeanor, Archie has won over the hearts of everyone he meets. He's particularly fond of feline friends and gets along famously with female dogs. However, he prefers and needs a home without male dogs, as he feels more comfortable in their absence. Despite past uncertainties, Archie's resilience shines through. He's a bit shy at first, needing some time and patience to acclimate to new surroundings and people. But once he feels secure, he blossoms into a loyal and affectionate companion, ready to shower his new family with endless love and devotion. Archie is a pro at crate training and is already neutered. Plus, rest assured, he'll be up-to-date on all his vaccinations before joining his forever home. In a gesture of goodwill, Archie's adoption fee will be offered at a special reduced rate for the right family. This is our way of ensuring that Archie finds the perfect match and his forever home. One touching testament to Archie's sweet nature is the heartfelt goodbye from his previous caretaker. Through tears, he spoke of Archie's goodness and the joy he would bring to his future family. It's clear that Archie's love knows no bounds, and he's ready to share it with you. If you believe Archie could be the missing piece to complete your family puzzle, don't hesitate to reach to fill out an application to arrange a meet-and-greet with this incredible pup. Let's make 2024 the year Archie finds his happily ever after.

Story
PiperFemale, SpayedBull terrier mix1 year45lbs If I could describe Piper in four words it would be: loving, smart, motivated, and clingy. From the time I have had Piper in our foster home she loves cuddles, getting the zoomies, playing fetch, and looking out the window.  She can be a bit mischievous when left alone for prolong periods of time. And over protective over some objects she can get a hold of, but she always up for a trade by a tasty treat! She is a quiet dog, house trained, potty trained, prong collar trained, crate trained, muzzle trained, knows some command's, and walks nicely! She does have a happy tail and is currently healing, in our experience so far with Piper it is so well worth helping her through this healing process. She would prefer being in a home with a couple or even a singular person home, she prefers to be an only fur baby as well. If you are interested in Piper, please apply at https://www.nickelcitycaninerescue.org/adopt-a-dog or message the rescue if you are already pre-approved. ##1954405##

Meet Rosie, a super sweet girl with a heart as big as Texas! Rosie had a bit of an adventurous stint as a stray, but now she's all set to find her perfect forever home.Rosie is a furry socialite who gets along wonderfully with her fellow doggie pals. However, she does have one little quirk—cats and Rosie aren't exactly a match made in heaven. Those frisky felines tend to trigger her playful chase instincts! When it comes to humans, Rosie is a total cuddlebug. She's convinced she's a lap dog and won't hesitate to hop right up for some quality snuggle time. But here's the fun part: Rosie's got a spirited teenage attitude. When she's told "no" or caught doing something she shouldn't, she's not one to back down quietly—she'll talk back with all the sass!If you're ready to bring a sweet and silly addition to your family, Rosie is more than prepared for her forever home. And yes, she's absolutely transportable, so don't let the Texas distance discourage you, transport only costs $230. Apply today and let the fun begin!*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41
