Story
HERE IN CANADA COME MEET HER My granny used to look at my pretty white coat and my soft brown eyes and tell me that I was the diamond in the coal mine. "Never worry, Raye," she'd say, "with a face that pretty there's always going to be a home for you!" I sure hope granny was right, cause boy oh boy! I could use a home about now. I'm looking forward to buckling down and excelling at doggy classes and hopefully making you so proud of me, that you'll never let me go! I need a home without children and without other dogs. Name: Rayse Weight: 60 lbs Age: 3 years Gender: Female Breed: American Bulldog mix Color: White/Brown Good With Adults: People selective Good With Kids: no Good With Other Dogs: Prefers to be the only dog Good With Cats: No, she has high prey drive Housebroken: Yes Crate trained: Yes Energy Level: Medium Can be handled/touched: Yes Barker: some, when she's scared Escape Artist: Yes Food Aggressive: With other dogs Walks on Leash: Pulls Rides well in car: Yes Destructive: no Needs a home with a yard: Yes Needs a home with another dog-Prefers to be the only dog Can live in an apartment: No. Needs a fenced in yard to play in. Foster comments: She barks when she's scared, but as we've been working on her sense of security and confidence, it's happening less and less. For introductions to new adult humans, it's best if it's done outside when she isn't startled by their arrival. She warms up very quickly and is very friendly and playful. Training Update: This girl has come so far in her training and learning to trust people, she is doing basic trainingright now with one of our trainers and is doing great!! Rayse is part of our dog walking group and everyone that takes her on adventures absolutely adore her. When she is in a home she has a few fears but with a patient adopter that will show her leadership she will do very well , Rayse loves to be praised for good behavior and really wants to please . This gir has overcome some really big obstacles in the past few months and is now ready for her happy ending . She would excel in a quite home with lots of love and walks ( she loves the water ) the beach is her favorite. She is on special food which is only 60.00 for a 25lb bag and she is worth it . This girl really deserves her happy tail ending . Come meet her and lets take her for walk and you will see what all of us see!!!

Meet Yoshi!! (case #02-03-200-01) Yoshi's Dating Profile: The Sweet, Gentle Bulldog Mix Looking for a Cuddle Buddy! Name: Yoshi Breed: American Bulldog Mix Age: 5 years young Likes: Long walks, playtime with furry friends, snuggling, belly rubs Dislikes: Ear infections (but who likes those?) Personality: Gentle, affectionate, smart, and laid-back Yoshi's Bio: Hey there, I’m Yoshi! I’m 5 years old, and I’ve got a heart full of love and a soft spot for cuddles. I came to the shelter as an unclaimed stray, but now I’m ready to find my forever family who’ll love me just the way I am. I’m a gentle giant, with a sweet, laid-back personality. I enjoy hanging out with the staff here, and I get along with my fellow dog friends—playtime is one of my favorite activities! I’m a smart boy too! I know plenty of tricks (ask me to sit, I dare you), but I could use some help with my leash manners—obedience classes will make us even more of a dream team! I’m super easy-going—no resource guarding here! I’m the type of guy who’s cool with sharing, and I promise I’m all about affection, not attitude. If you’re into long walks, we’ll be a perfect match. And when it’s time to chill, I’m all about snuggling up on the couch for a good cuddle session. I’m soft-tempered and affectionate, and I love being close to my humans. I’d thrive in an active household that enjoys walks and also values some downtime together. I’m looking for someone who can keep my mind stimulated with fun games and give me all the belly rubs I deserve after a good play session. So, if you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who loves to play and relax in equal measure, let’s meet! I promise to make your heart melt with my gentle nature and give you all the love you need. Let’s make some memories together! Bonus Features: Good with other dogs (after proper intros, of course!) Loves to learn new tricks (who’s ready to be impressed?) A fantastic cuddle buddy If you're looking for a lovable, affectionate dog who's ready to share all his love with you, swipe right on Yoshi!

Story
Iris was found stray, but is an estimated 2yo female bully breed mix, about 55lbs of muscle! Iris is an adventurous, silly and snuggly girl looking for a quiet but active home to call her own! She loves snuggling with her foster parents on the couch, or napping quietly by their feet while working from home. Iris has the best snuggles because she’s soft as a baby deer! She can be a bit wiggly at first while she is finding the perfect spot, then loves to nest in the blankets and give little kisses to her people! Iris is incredibly affectionate and loving with her foster family, she loves her evening snuggles after she's been tired out. She loves "climbing" her people if they are sitting, or curling up on the couch beside them. Iris is also a young dog and still has quite a bit of energy to burn! She loves zoomies in her backyard, loves ripping apart and shaking her stuffed toys, and loves chasing her balls! Her favorite game is tug- she takes it very seriously! She sometimes participates in local Canicross runs and is a great running buddy! Iris is up for any adventure she's been on her in foster home, 5k pulling runs, 15k hikes, kayaking, weight pull, and even some GRC fun! She's a versatile girl who wants to have fun! Iris is still learning that zoomies aren't appropriate in the house, but has made a ton of progress in her training and knows to chill out on her dog bed during down time, or settle on the couch with her people. Iris is a very smart girl and can also walk on the treadmill as a method to burn off some energy! After 10 minutes on the treadmill, she is mentally settled. She also did well on a backyard-built agility course, and learned the expectations in under 10 minutes! Iris walks well on her transitional slip leash. She can be hypervigilant of loud noises and fast movements, but disengages nicely. Iris recently moved from a rural foster home to a busy urban foster home and is doing well with the activity in her neighborhood. Iris is crate and housetrained. She is quiet in her crate unless she is spooked by an unfamiliar noise, like a racoon exploring the garbage, or sometimes when visitors come in. She was initially a bit unsettled with high energy noise overhead, so we feel she would do best in a home instead of an apartment building where she could be surprised by high activity in the apartment above, or surprised on elevators. Iris needs slow proper introductions to new dogs- she is not a dog park dog. Going for a walk together before calm coexisting hangouts sets her up for success. Iris does well with calm, easy going dog friends. She currently lives with 3 male dogs, and enjoys relaxed walks with them, and calm living room hangouts. She has done well hiking and running with many other dogs, but will react to reactive dogs. Iris is a typical bully breed and comes in hot, and has an intense play style, so not all other dogs will jive with her – she would not do well in a dog park. Iris has gone running with a local Hamilton Canicross club, and while she found the busy parking lot was stressful, she relaxed quickly running with a smaller group, and had a great time! Iris is an energetic girl and loves walks, play with a tug rope, toys or a ball, and loves chase games! She has gone swimming and loves fetching a toy, and will even put her whole head underwater! She would really enjoy dog sports like lure course or weight pull, but that isn't necessary- as long as she has proper outlets for her energy! Iris is incredibly smart and learns new commands quickly, although still needs work with impulse control, she is making great strides in her training quickly. We are putting in the reps for training every day, and every day she makes great progress! Iris is also excellent in the car – in a van, she likes to be between the driver and the passenger, and if invited may try to snuggle with the passenger! Iris is a fun and funny girl, guaranteed to make her forever home laugh regularly! Whether it's her silly antics playing with her toys, her curious and adventurous spirit on walks, or her funny wiggles while trying to get the MOST comfortable on her dog bed, you can't help but smile around Iris! Iris is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and tested negative for tick and mosquito borne illnesses. She is healthy with no known health concerns. If you think Iris is the right fit for your home, please email molsonsfosterfreinds@gmail.com! SUMMARY: -Good with dogs, needs proper introductions -No cats -Older kids (calm, able to actively participate in training) -Energetic -Good on leash -Very smart - loves training! (Knows sit, down, place, crate, and learning to walk on treadmill. Working on duration and impulse control). -House trained -Crate trained -Good in car -Loves new adventures and learning new things! -Looking for quiet detached home -Very affectionate, loves snuggles! -Currently making a ton of progress with her training. She's still working on impulse control, but making a ton of improvement on duration. Meet Dixie – Your Loyal Shadow and Adventure Buddy! Dixie is a loving, playful, and incredibly smart girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She thrives on being near her people—whether she’s curled up at your feet, trotting beside you on walks, or snoozing on the couch after a full day of play. Dixie is high-energy but settles beautifully with structure, walks, and mental stimulation. She’s fully house-trained, has made huge strides with leash skills, and loves riding in the car (especially with her head out the window!). She’s great with other dogs and would love a calm, confident canine companion. While still learning to trust in certain situations (like vet visits or unexpected handling), she’s making amazing progress and just needs someone patient and kind who will continue building her confidence. Her ideal home is adult-only or one with older, respectful kids. Dixie is affectionate, goofy, and incredibly loyal—once she trusts you, she’s all in. If you’re looking for a fun, devoted companion who’ll make you laugh and feel deeply loved, Dixie might be your girl. She’s ready to meet her forever family—could that be you?
