This is a courtesy post. Please do not contact Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue for information. Contact information is provided below.Adrian is a 3-year old American Bulldog. She is spayed and fully up to date on her shots and health checks. She also has papers to be registered. Adrian is very sweet and very protective with humans. She has gotten along well with other bullies. However, she has shown aggression with other dogs outside of her own breed. When the incidents happened, it was around food or close spaces. She would be perfect in a home with a couple or someone that travels. She loves to be on the go. She is crate trained. If you are interested in Adrian, please contact Leah Haney at 704-214-0076.

Story
Ice is about 2 yo and 70 ish lbs, he is a loving boy that just wants to be a lap dog, he loves to cuddle and be close. Ice is good with some dogs, seems to be dog selective, generally, he’s been good with dogs that are bigger than him but any dog would have to be tested with him. He’d be a great “only” dog because he’d love to be the center of attention. Ice has swallowed a stuffed lobster before that had to be surgically removed so will have to be in a household where there aren’t small toys or stuffies laying around.

Story
Woof! Hi there, humans! My name's Pepper, and I've got quite the story to tell. I'm an American Bulldog mix, about a year and a half old, and I tip the scales at a solid 80 pounds. Let me tell you a little bit about where I come from. I ended up in this shelter after a rough time out there on the streets. See, I was dumped on the SC/NC border, left to wander all day long, waiting for my humans to come back for me. But they never did. Animal Control eventually found me, and I'll never forget that ride to the shelter - all I did was cry and mourn, afraid of being abandoned again. When I first arrived here, I was scared and wary of people. But thanks to the amazing staff and volunteers, I've really come out of my shell. They showed me that they're here to help, and I can't thank them enough for that. Now, you'll see me giddy, happy, and full of life, especially when it's time to play! I absolutely love chasing balls around the yard - it's my favorite thing in the world! I'm what you might call people-oriented and a real people-pleaser. I'm super smart too - I've been learning commands left and right, and I pick 'em up pretty darn quick if I do say so myself. I am also super duper housetrained. I never made a mess ever in my kennel! And let me tell you, once I give you my loyalty, it's yours forever. I'm just waiting for someone to see what a special girl I am. Before you come to meet me at the shelter, be sure to submit your adoption application online first. This helps the shelter team ensure that we're the perfect match for each other and that my future family is fully prepared to welcome me into their home. Oh, and one more thing - all of us shelter animals come home spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and microchipped. So you can rest easy knowing that I'm ready to join your pack, fully equipped and ready to make memories that'll last a lifetime. So, if you're looking for a loyal, loving companion to join your family, look no further than yours truly, Pepper. I can't wait to meet you and show you just how amazing life can be with a pup like me by your side! Woof woof! You can fill out an adoption application for me using this link: https://foothillshumanesociety.org/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Please read complete description!! We have a 2.5 yr old American Bulldog mix who has not transitioned well to apartment living. Her name is Oreo (you’ll see why from the pictures) and she is really sweet and protective of her family, but she DOES NOT LIKE other dogs or people walking in the apartment complex. The perfect fit for her would be someone who has a fenced in back yard where she could get exercise without being around other animals or people. Definitely not a family who has other dogs or really young kids (she seems to get annoyed by them). She is fully house and crate trained (that’s where she sleeps at night). She is very cuddly (she thinks she still weighs 8 lbs, but currently weighs 70lbs.) She is up to date on all shots, flea, tick and heartworm meds. We feed her Kirkland brand food from Costco and she has a collection of bones and toys that she would like to bring with her. We have had her since she was 6 weeks old but she can’t handle apartment living.

Story
PB for Pretty Boy. He was a stray. He was found to be shot with a BB gun, abused and scared of sharp noises and quick movements. He is extremely skittish and will run when frightened. He will need a secure fenced yard! As being retired we have gotten to know him well. He is house broken. He is not a barker. He won't bark outside even when he hears other dogs. We had him nurtured so it wouldn't be a stressful with going to a new home. He would do best in a calm home. He has no training for commands nor vocabulary He has never shown any aggression. I can put my hand in his food bowl. He would do well in a calm home. A military veteran could take advantage of free obedience training. He gets along with dogs, cats and people if they behave. He has never growled or shown his teeth. He is looking for love, trust and a fun environment. His potty breaks are approximately 12 hours apart. He is satisfied during the day inside with a bone to keep him amused. No regrets with this sweet dog!

Hello everyone! Let's talk about this super snazzy bundle of love. This is Oskar. He is a total ham. He loves to give hugs, snuggle, lay around in the hammock with his people, and play. Mostly, he loves to play. He has more energy than the Energizer Bunny. He is great with other dogs, and with cats. He is living it up in foster care learning the ropes of being a best boy. He is doing great with his house training. Oskar cannot wait to find his perfect furever family. Oskar is a little afraid of men and needs to have a woman adopter. **Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vet visits, deworming, and shots. ** Adoption Application: mercyrescue.org
