Please only apply if you are ready to take home your new pet quickly. Meet Tia! Tia is an approximately 1-2 year old American Bulldog/Lab mix pup. She was found roaming the streets and was brought to a very high kill shelter in GA. Tia was used for breeding and her last litter of puppies were sold off at 3-4 weeks old. Tia came to the shelter, full of milk that was hardening up, she was severely underweight and full of worms. She also had sores all over her body. This poor baby was severely neglected. Her time was up at the shelter and she was set to be euthanized when Whiskers Fund stepped in to save her beautiful soul. Now that Tia is back to being healthy, she is starting to show us her personality. Tia is VERY smart. She knows lots of commands like sit, stay, beg, load up and she is easy to train. This girl is pretty much perfect. She does very well in the car.... as long as she is NOT crated in the car. She will let you know her displeasure of being crated in the car and would prefer to ride shotgun or at least in the back seat- I mean who can blame her! Tia has shown a bit of separation anxiety, but that has gotten better since she has left the shelter and we believe will continue to improve as she settles into her forever home. Tia has a fair amount of energy and she really just wants to do whatever you are doing. If you are playing, she wants to play, if you are hanging and watching TV, well she is hanging and watching TV with you. Tia really just wants to always be with you, whether you are headed out on an adventure or staying home and cuddling up on the couch or in bed - so if you’re not into dogs on the fur-niture, she might not be the dog for you. If you think you are the right match for her, please apply to adopt here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScq8ShXPVGLfrGHlIYMk0plgI_PJxOEMdr8QItpQMXYCnluvg/view-form The adoption fee is $550. All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their furever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped! Please Note: All animals are posted until they are officially adopted. This animal may have other interested adopters in line. We are very quick to respond and process applications! You will be required to provide 2 non family personal references, a home video tour and a vet reference if you’ve previously had animals. Please feel free to send video to our email or facebook upon submitting an application, this lets us know you are serious and ready but also helps us to get you approved quickly. We will text and or call upon receiving your application to schedule a phone interview. You must be an approved adopter in order to go on meet and greets. This saves everyone’s time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose. Interested in fostering? We would love to have you join our family! Fill out the same application above- we have our fosters go through the same process as adopters! Questions? Please email whiskersfunds@gmail.com or message us on facebook! Story
I am a 1 year old staffordshire terrier with lots of bubbly energy ready to fill your life with licks and cuddles! I love to go on long walks, and will come to you with my new walking collar. I love people SO MUCH and want to like other dogs but am a little unsure of them as well. My current foster dad is a professional dog trainer and has been easing me into being around other dogs. He is teaching me SO many new and wonderful house manners, and I will come with a run down of all the things he has taught me so you can keep working with me in my new home! I love to play tug and chew on deer antlers. I love to chill out in my crate. As much as I want to be in a home with other dogs, I should probably be your only fur baby for a while. I'm looking for a forever home where I can be your loyal companion and best friend!

Story
Apollo is a really sweet dog. He’s got a lot of energy and loves to play tug of war and go on walks. I got him from a mutual friend living in Asheville about 6 months ago. He’ll be 2 years old in November and still has some puppy energy. He’d do best in a home where he has people around him, as he loves attention. He’s crate trained and can stay in there for most of the day if needed, he’s also house trained. He hasn’t been around cats much but from what I’ve seen he ignores cats. He gets along with most dogs but he can be selective, particularly with other male dogs, so he would do best in a home without other dogs. He’s hyper and still jumps sometimes so be careful with him around small children

Story
Let’s play! Meet the marvelous Ms. Meka; a female American Bulldog mix with a disposition as sunny as her smile. This is one happy dog that enjoys being around people. A stocky medium-sized dog, she was born January 2017 and weighs around 51 pounds. Energetic and enthusiastic, Meka is best suited for a dog-savvy active adult. She is not aggressive but can easily knock over children when she greets them. She would do best as the only pet in the home. Meka loves outdoor activities and will play fetch for hours. She travels well and would make a great trail buddy. She’s also a big fan of water and enjoys taking a quick dip in a pool or lake. Meka is a well-behaved girl in the home. A home with a large fenced in yard would be ideal. No worries about chewed up furniture or shoes with this girl. If she misbehaves, a stern voice is usually all the correction she needs. She is eager to please and very smart. Come meet this amazing dog!To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Due to the high volume of applications received, our Adoption Coordinator will only contact the applicant that best meets the needs of the pet.
