Hi, I'm Rocky, do you want to be best friends? I know we just met each other but I love humans which means I love you! To be honest, I have yet to meet a human who I didn't immediately love. The SHS shelter staff says I have a hilarious boxer personality: I am silly, goofy, rowdy, happy-go-lucky, and eager to please. I like to spend my time outside, enjoying the yard, and playing with my toys. I am smart too! I listen to commands, and I take corrections which makes me easy to train. Due to my energy, I will thrive in an active house where I am the only dog. I need a few walks a day and lots of outside time. *No kids*

She has been settling in here with her awesome foster family and you can see the anxiety and stress falling to the ground. Welah is a pretty, muscular, and energetic Boxer American Pit Bull Terrier mix with an estimated birthdate of 07/09/2020. She came to Murci's Mission after being picked up stray and going unclaimed in Chewelah.  Welah is very loving to people of all ages and sizes, and would do fine in a home with children. She needs to be an only pet. She is learning basic skills and is presently crate trained and house trained with a number of basic obedience commands. She is very hard to handle on a normal collar or harness, but is making excellent progress with prong collar conditioning.  Welah's ideal family would be home bodies with a secure yard for exercise, or an active family committed to managing her around other dogs in public. She loves going for walks, is starting to play fetch, and she would be excellent at weight pull, carting, or other strength based sports. She's a 10/10 car ride companion and loves road trips. Because of her discomfort around other animals, she's not a candidate for the dog park or to go off leash, however she's quite easy to handle on lead even in crowded areas when using the prong collar.  Welah comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $200 and includes a sample of her food, medical records, leash, collar, herm sprenger prong collar and ID tag.
