Story
Meet Tawny Tawny entered Lancaster Shelter as a stray, and when she wasn't claimed, we scooped her up on April 9th to become a Frosted Face. She is 10 years old, weighs 15 lbs., and is very sweet. Tawny is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we can learn what she is like in a home. We received a great one-week report from her Fling Mom: "It's been one week with Tawny so far, and she is such an awesome dog. Here's some reasons why I think she would be a great addition to almost any household... - Super sweet and will come up to you for pets and scratches. - Potty trained and will also use potty pads if you have to leave her for longer periods of time. - Loves going for walks and is great walking on a leash. - Very tolerant. She allowed me to bathe her and dress her up in a sweater. - Sleeps throughout the night and takes many naps during the day. - Mostly calm but gets excited for her walks and food and will sometimes have random cute bursts of energy. - Has a great appetite and doesn't seem to be picky. - Doesn't have any bad habits: No barking, resource guarding, separation anxiety, jumping on people, or begging when I'm eating. - Could be in a household with other pets or by herself. She got used to my dog within a day (growled a couple times initially) but is now comfortable around him. They walk together and can bump into each other without any drama. However she mostly just ignores him and doesn't care to play with him." Check back for the full report on Tawny's Fling!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Foster or Forever home wanted!!!! Meet Toby!!! Toby came to us as an owner surrender when sadly his family’s situation changed.  They were truly heartbroken.  Toby is a petite cocker spaniel / lab mix at about 30 pounds.  Toby has basic skills and is said to get along with other dogs.  Toby is understandably shy and overwhelmed right now with the loss of his original family. We’d like to get him back into a home as soon as possible. Toby is looking for a patient family that will give him lots of love and adventures throughout his life and help him mend his broken heart.  Could that family be yours?  Email dogs@labradorsandfriends.org or fill out our online application at www.labradorsandfriends.org Toby is located in Southern California.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 27, 2024, 12:08 am
