Story
Meet Parker, a 7-year-old German Spitz/Husky mix with a heart full of sweetness and a touch of nervousness. Adopted in 2018, Parker found himself back at the rescue when his previous owner ended up in jail, prompting a call to us to help him find a new forever home. Parker is a gentle and affectionate dog who quickly forms strong bonds with his person. While he can be a bit nervous and flighty at first, he’s incredibly loving once he feels secure. He gets along well with other dogs and has no medical concerns, making him a well-rounded and healthy companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal dog who will become deeply attached to you and needs a little time to settle in, Parker is ready to bring his love and warmth into your life. Give this loving pup the chance he deserves, and he’ll reward you with unwavering affection and companionship.

Story
Kurt is a sweet American Eskimo who is still building trust with humans. He would thrive in a calm, quiet home with a patient adopter who understands his needs and is willing to work with him at his own pace. Kurt gets along with other dogs but prefers calmer companions and a peaceful household where he can take his time to feel comfortable. He needs someone who will respect his space while offering gentle guidance and support as he grows more confident. A meet and greet at the shelter is required with any dogs in the home to ensure a smooth transition and a good fit for everyone. ------ Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog’s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
