Cute, Cuddly CASSIE Cassie is a 15-month-old sweetheart weighing just under 40 pounds — the perfect medium size. She has soft, fluffy white fur, the most adorable black spot over her right eye, and delicate speckles on her ears that make her truly one of a kind. Her beautiful little fantail and gentle expression match her tender heart perfectly. Cassie is incredibly sweet — there truly isn’t a mean bone in her body. She’s very quiet and not much of a barker. While she was understandably scared at the shelter, she has been decompressing beautifully in her foster home and is already showing how much she enjoys being around her people and other dogs. She is shy at first, but with patience and kindness, her affectionate personality begins to shine. She is housebroken and so well-mannered that she doesn’t require a crate, though having one available may help her feel secure during her transition. Cassie has made herself comfortable on dog beds, sofas, and even the human bed — she just wants to feel safe and close. She currently shows little interest in toys or chews, but everything is still new to her, and she’s only been in foster care for a short time. As she continues to gain confidence, her playful side may blossom. Cassie would likely do best in a home with: • A calm male dog companion close to her size or larger, with moderate to low energy • Children over 12 who are gentle, compassionate, and understand she needs time to adjust • A single person or quieter household where she can truly bond • A house with a yard rather than an apartment, as she enjoys going in and out and would benefit from a calmer environment She appears to have leash experience and walks politely without barking or growling at other dogs — she’s simply shy and observant. Cassie would make an incredible best friend — a loyal, loving “gal pal” who just wants a peaceful home and a heart to belong to. If you’re looking for a gentle companion with the sweetest soul, Cassie may be your girl.
