Story
Hello, it's so nice to meet you! My name is Momma! At some point in the past I have had a litter of puppies....more than likely I have had several litters of puppies. I was out in the middle of nowhere when I was picked up by one of the nice guys of Animal Control. I was so glad to ride with him to the shelter. I was really glad when I was able to go into my big dog run with food and a nice bed. I was safe, warm, and dry. After being on the "road" you learn to appreciate things like that! I was never claimed by my family and now I can look for a new home. I am a four-year-old terrier mix. I have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. No more babies for me!! One problem did show up on my health check up. I was heartworm positive, but I have already completed my heartworm treatment and I feel GREAT! Things are certainly looking up for me!! Now all I need is my "forever" home!

Story
Hello, my name is Elita! I am so happy to be sitting safely at the shelter where I am warm, dry, and I have a full tummy! I was running around a neighborhood that was near an old shopping mall and a very busy road! Not a safe place to pets to run loose! Anyway a kind neighbor called Animal Control to pick me up. I rode to the shelter where I have been waiting for my family to claim me. No one ever came and now I am ready for adoption. I am a three-year-old terrier mix. I have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. One small problem did show up on my health check up. I am heartworm positive. I am not worried! I know the shelter will stand by me and help through the entire process. Thanks for all of your help MHS!!

Story
Hi there! My name is Leia and I am at the shelter hoping to find a new home. I guess I had a home at some point, but somehow or the other I landed in a local neighborhood looking for food and shelter! A kind homeowner watched me for a few days and then decided to call Animal Control to pick me up. He knew that I could wait at the shelter for my family to claim me and be safe and out of the nasty weather! So here I sit! I was never claimed and now I am ready for adoption. I am a two-year-old terrier mix. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. I know if you meet me you won't be able to leave without me in your car!!

Story
Oh hello, I'm Kirby! This sweet little gal has been a bit down on her luck recently! I was roaming in a neighborhood not too far from the interstate hoping to find some food and maybe some shelter from the heat or the pouring rain! Well instead I found a kind person who put me in his car and brought me to the shelter. He didn't have any pets, but he was willing to help me get to safety! Thank you kind homeowner for helping me! Well I was never claimed by my owners and now I am up for adoption. I am a young terrier mix. I have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been spayed. Hopefully you can make an appointment to meet me. I know you won't regret it!

Story
Hi there! My name is Nick and I am so happy to meet you! I am a three-year-old terrier mix that is currently homeless! I am sure I had a home, but I was roaming a neighborhood a while back and kept getting into things in other people's yards. My kind rescuer looked and looked for my owners, but could never find them. She knew the best place for me to start over was at the shelter. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. I am a good boy that needs lots of exercise and consistent training on some good doggie manners! I am a "love" that is just waiting for the right person to walk in and adopt me!

Story
We adopted Ursula from a Humane Society in Texas. She is so lovable and energetic. Estimated 4 years old. She instantly melts when you pet her. All she wants is love. However, she is very strong and needs exercise. My family has been going through a hard time. My husband was shot and is having multiple surgeries on his hand and I just gave birth to a baby girl. We are unable to provide the care and attention she needs right now.
