Lychee is available through our `Adopt From a Foster Home` program. If you are interested in scheduling a meeting, please fill out the request form here: Adopt From Foster Form. Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as they are not available to meet on site.Age: 4 yearsWeight: 31.90 kgA little bit about Lychee:- unknown history with children, all interactions should be supervised- unknown history with cats and small animals- potential for other dog in home pending successful introductionWhat drew you in? Was it her unique name or the adorable face? You can`t fool us, we know it was both. Meet Lychee! This lovely dog has had a rough beginning, but she is now ready for all the love in her forever home. When Lychee first came to the shelter, she was terrified. She was completely avoidant of touch and it was clear that she had not had very positive experiences with humans before. With time, Lychee slowly started making friends, wagging her tail and asking for pets, but the shelter was still too much for her. Now, Lychee is flourishing in her amazing foster home and is learning what it`s like to be loved! It took a bit for her to warm up, but now that she is comfortable in foster, we`ve learned so much about her. Lychee loves to play with toys, especially anything that squeaks or that she can fetch. She loves daily walks and belly rubs, and gets very excited for mealtime! Lychee also enjoys being tucked in with a blanket at night or for a mid-day snooze. Her foster family has described her as being the perfect mix of active and lazy. Lychee is still nervous of loud noises and unfamiliar people and places, but she is building her confidence day by day. She`s even starting joining in on conversation with her own unique little howl! Lychee is also really good about taking her daily medication to keep her skin itch-free and healthy! If you think Lychee could be your perfect pup, fill out the Adopt from Foster form right away!

Story
This one-year-old male Pitbull Mix is a sweet, affectionate pup who’s a staff favorite! He loves attention and will melt into a puddle of joy when greeting his people. He’s working on polite greetings, but once comfortable, he’s a leaner who loves petting. While he’s relaxed around other dogs and enjoys initiating play with adorable play bows, he would do best in a quiet, adult-only home with a fenced yard. He would do best with appropriate larger dogs as he is a bit overbearing for smaller dogs. This guy needs a home with no cats or small animals.Due to his allergies, he’ll need a specific diet and care routine, so his future family should be ready to provide that extra attention. He is on a very specialized diet, and straying from it causes flare-ups very quickly. He also has a tendency to chew or ingest non-food items, so he should be monitored closely, especially during play or downtime, to ensure his safety. He enjoys leisurely strolls and may benefit from a front-clip harness to help manage his enthusiasm for exploring. If you`re looking for a gentle, loving companion who will be devoted to you, this sweet boy is ready to be part of your family! He is considered to be a medium dog at 50 lbs. A group class or private consultation may be required with adoption.

Story
This energetic girl is ready for a sporting life. She would likely thrive in flyball or other dog sports or even be an great hiking buddy. She did show high prey drive during her assessment so a home with no small animals would be a best fit for her. Due to her prey drive she may also not be a great candidate for an off leash park. Her cute ears are tall but also floppy showing us when she is excited vs relaxed! As a part of her adoption you will be required to sign up for a basic manners class or behaviour consult. She is a medium sized dog at 52lbs.

This sweet girl is boisterous and athletic! She will need an adult only home where she has active structure. She picks up on your energy so when its time to relax and cuddle she would love to do that, but when its time to be active she will be ready for whatever adventure comes her way. We have been working on behaviour modification as she did should resource guarding concerns, but is moving through this well. With the required training upon her adoption we would have you learn the steps to appropriately work on this moving forward. If you need a buddy to go exploring with here she is! She is a large girl at 73lbs.

Story
Meet Lulu, a sweet and sensitive 4-year-old Pit Bull looking for an experienced, adult-only home. She thrives in a calm but structured environment with a confident, breed-savvy owner. Lulu requires daily leash walks, a secure fenced yard, and is not suited for off-leash parks due to recall and bonding needs. She may be okay with a calm dog match after slow, controlled introductions. A food-based enrichment routine, including hand feeding and trade-ups, is essential, and a basic manners or private training class is required. Lulu isn’t for first-time owners, but in the right home, she’ll be a loyal and loving companion. She is a medium sized dog at 43lbs.
